About the Author

Alexander Ruperti (1913–1998) was born in Germany and educated in Britain. He was an osteopathic physician and a physical therapist living in Switzerland who first studied astrology with C.E.O. Carter at the Astrological Lodge in London in the 1930s. After reading Dane Rudhyar’s seminal book, The Astrology of Personality in 1936, he became the first person in Europe to teach a humanistic, psychological and modern approach to astrology. In 1984, with Marief Cavaignac, he founded the Réseau d’Astrologie Humaniste in Paris. His lectures in the USA in 1973 were a delight to all American astrologers. This is his only book translated into English.

This review is from: Cycles of Becoming (Paperback)
This book requires concentrated study and subsequent meditation to apply its teaching to one's own life. Definitely for the intermediate and advanced astrologer, this books is packed with nuggests of wisdom regarding cycles. Who knew about the completion of the Saturn-Uranus cycle? I have gained much insight into my own life after reading certain chapters in this book that I have not gained from other astrological studies. The author purports to distill Dane Rudyar's teaching, and I cannot comment on that, never having completed a Rudyar book. The humanistic point of view may be overly optimistic about the power of the conscious mind, for after all, we live in a time of profound societal change, especially 2012 - 2015. Fate does play its part.
