This is one cycling guide that will be of use to all Bay Area tourists, not just the cyclists. Thirty bicycle tours in and around the San Francisco peninsula are outlined and described in detail. Each route includes a locater map and bicycle path map. The tours are designed and rated according to appropriate levels of difficulty, ranging from easy to strenuous, with information on lengths and surface grades (e.g., country roads, highways; hilly, steep, flat). All tourists will welcome the cultural and historical descriptions of each town and building visited. This guide will be of use on travels through wineries, missions, historic homes, and buildings in Sonoma, Sausalito, Napa, Angel Island, Palo Alto, Alemeda, San Jose, and other regional locales. A geographic index of bicycle paths and listings of rental addresses are appended. Recommended for general travel collections.
