Note that this mount is also for the Metro series, which is what I have. It attaches easily & holds the light securely. It can be removed when you buy a new helmet. Having it shine down from 3 feet higher, compared with a handlebar mount, increases the coverage & visibility, plus wherever you turn your head the light goes with it, as for example, the alley on your left or the driver that should be stopping at the stop sign on your right. :-)

Mounting was simple and took less than 5 minutes. With this mount my Cygolite Metro 500 USB Bicycle Headlight sits securely on my helmet. I can see further than with a handlebar mount. Also, I can point it where I want it to shine and I believe I'm more visible to drivers. I leave the mount on and remove the the headlight when I'm not using it. You can be sure when I replace my helmet, the helmet mount will go on my new one.

My helmet had air holes/slits running front-to-back and I had pictured that the Velcro straps would go down through one slit and up and out the neighboring slit, BUT then the Velcro bridges the gap between slits INSIDE and interferes with your head.... I solved it by using zip ties that ran front-to-back in same slit.

Using with the Metro light it sticks-up pretty far in the air so not good for trail riding where you'd catch it on branches and such, but around town no problem.... probably another reason to go with zip ties that would breakoff compared to Velcro that would not(and yank your head-off).

I tried attaching my light with zip ties, velcro straps, and duct tape. This worked OK, but made it nearly impossible to remove the Cygolite Metro 420 Lumen USB Rechargeable Bicycle Headlight, Black, One Sizewhen I didn't need it. So, I bought the helmet mount - and this works great! I think if they included this with the light, they could sell it cheaper. At the very least, Amazon could make it a "deal." Go ahead, get this kit.

The lite fits wheel on the mount. Did not buy this to wear on my helmet. Although it fits well on my helmet. I ran a piece of elastic threw it so I could wear it for a head light. I will use it when I am working around the house. And it works great for that. I used it a lot this winter clearing snow at night from my driveway.
The item did arrived quickly.

Works just as it needs to. I do have a problem with the placement of the light on it, its heavier in the front making the light a bit unstable, and when pressing the button to change brightness the light tips. I wish the light mount was more under the front of the light for more stability

After falling on a curve with my lamp mounted on my handlebar I decided it was better to be able to move the lamp without changing direction of the bike. great idea it should be standard equipment when buying the lamp.

Great when you cannot put on a bar or you just want it helmet mounted. In my case, tri bars block it. Only issue is a cygo lite creates some heaviness on a long ride but strap is easy to use and inexpensive.
