Diameter of opening is approximately 3 1/4". These work perfectly with our hand poured 3 inch floating candles. Candles sold separately. The vases arrived fast. They are nice and exactly what is described online. They were packed with lots of wrapping but unfortunately one of the vases broke (out of 72 vases). I notified the vendor and they issued a refund for the one vase. Overall, they were worth it.
