Diameter of opening is approximately 3 1/4". These work perfectly with our hand poured 3 inch floating candles. Candles sold separately. These are much bigger and stronger than I expected, but I had these for a party and they looked good. However I think these would look nicer with some decorations on the inside bottom before filling water and putting the floating candles. But for the simple ambience I wanted ,these were just perfect.
