5.0 out of 5 stars Well designed product, very easy to use
This kindle stand is directly attached to the kindle and does not need to be removed at anytime. It's easy for travel, and you don't need to look for it when it's needed. On top of that, the angle is adjustable. The design provides a good viewing angle on the kindle at anytime!

3.0 out of 5 stars A good idea but not well executed, April 4, 2010

The concept of this product is excellent. Unfortunately, the execution of the product is not. If you buy this product, expect it to fail within a few months depending on how often you use it. I use mine a lot as I eat out often and always have my Kindle along.

I have used mine for two months, and while I like how it works, it is falling apart. It is made of layers of compressed paper - yes PAPER. The layers on mine are separating. The tip, where the holder is inserted into the spine is frayed and will soon no longer be able to hold the Kindle upright. The spine has totally separated at the top and now hangs loose.

I haven't found anything else comparable to this. I like how it is unobtrusively attached to the back. All the other products that I have seen required you to carry something else around in addition to the Kindle. I have resigned myself to having to purchase a new one of these ever so often until I find a better product to replace it.

Update: 7/30/2010. After six months of use it's still falling apart but I have found that I can glue the separated layers back together using Elmer's White Glue. The edges are still frayed, even with gluing but it is still usable and better than any alternative I have found.

5.0 out of 5 stars Each Kindle should have one!, December 20, 2009
This review is from: Cyncronix Adjustable Kindle Stand, Thin, Light weight Stays with your eBook reader; Less than 1 mm thin (Electronics)
Excellent idea. I like it because it's light and thin and on the back of my Kindle all the time. When I read at the desk I fold it and prop the Kindle up, makes the Kindle look so nice and supple, and lets you read hands free. When I read in bed I just fold it flat and it's like it was not there. I like to take the Kindle with me when I travel, it seems that the stand won't cause any problems and there is no extra item to pack!
Installing it was a bit challenging. You have to be sure it's well aligned before you stick it to the Kindle. Mine ended-up a bit tilted and I'm afraid to peel it off as it may break. It comes with lifetime replacement warranty so one day, when it's not new anymore, I will just try to reposition it. If it breaks, I should get a new one for free!

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful and portable, December 18, 2009
This review is from: Cyncronix Adjustable Kindle Stand, Thin, Light weight Stays with your eBook reader; Less than 1 mm thin (Electronics)
Unlike other Kindle stands I've tried, this one isn't a separate stand or part of a case. Instead, I attach it directly to the Kindle, which is convenient as I no longer need to lug a separate stand about. (If you use a case/cover, you can just attach it to that and it works the same).

It's always there when I need it, and when I don't it folds flat so I hardly notice it. Additionally it's adjustable, so I can change the angle to avoid glare on the screen.

I'm not sure I like the color, but that's a minor gripe. Overall I'd strongly recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Do not use with the regular kindle cover, April 6, 2010

I purchased this item and tried to put it on my Amazon Kindle Leather Cover (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) If you put it on the leather part your good to go, but it wont close so you end up having the left side hanging out and about. I found that to be annoying so I tried to take it off and re-place it.

In my next genius idea I was going to place it on the inside part of the cover, which seems like a felt lining. It wouldn't stick well near the bottom and it broke when I took it off. I hadn't pushed down really well to secure it. I've contacted the person selling it to me, we'll find out what happened since I just bought it a few days ago and it just arrived in today's mail.

In either case, if you have a skin on your kindle I would not recommend this product. I have a beautiful one I don't want to damage and that's why I tried using it on the cover.

I wanted a stand that would work well with my OCTO Faux Leather Kindle Sleeve (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) - Black (Smooth finish). Since that is a tight-fitting cover, I was worried my Kindle would no longer slip inside with this stand attached. I tried slipping both in together before attaching it to my Kindle, and they both fit! So I fastened it to the back of my Kindle. I don't do a whole lot of tabletop/handsfree reading, but when I want to, this fits the bill perfectly. It also doesn't seem to get in the way when I'm holding my Kindle (it stays put, doesn't flop around). I'm wondering how long it will hold up since it does seem to be made of cardboard and stickers, but I do admire the economical design. A note about the "color" - mine is a silver sparkly pattern, which I'm happy about because it matches my silver Octo case. Here on Amazon it looked pink or green or blue or some mottled combination thereof, but I think maybe it was reflecting nearby colors. It looks sort of like a hologram in real life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very practical for Kindle, January 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cyncronix Adjustable Kindle Stand, Thin, Light weight Stays with your eBook reader; Less than 1 mm thin (Electronics)
This stand is a great addition to my Kindle. It came with adhesive on the back and instructions. I placed it closer to the bottom than the instructions show and it lets me stand the Kindle almost vertical when I place the kindle on a raised shelf on my desk. Most of the time I adjust it at a 45 degree angle to read comfortably at the dinner table. I like most that it snaps closed and I can slide the Kindle in its case without removing it. The color is too bright for me and I would give it a 5 otherwise. It does seem fragile but It's sturdy enough when engaged into the notch. Overall a great practical product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pleased at first........., March 7, 2011

I read every day at breakfast and wanted something to "hold" my Kindle DX so I could read hands free. This item fit the bill and the price was within reason, it seemed. I received the Adjustable Stand in December; it was pretty much what I expected and easy to install and use. Additionally, I could still put my kindle in its' sleeve with no resistance. All was well until mid-February, approximately 60 days of use (once per day) when the stand fell apart at the bottom junction, letting my Kindle fall on the tile table (thankfully with no damage). Not such a good deal anymore!

Just what it needs to be. Installation a bit tricky, make sure you align it well before pushing it down. Hard to reposition. Once installed it's so nice to use. Seems a bit fragile but if it breaks, I'll get a free replacement. It says lifetime warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool!, June 24, 2011

This review is from: Cyncronix Adjustable Kindle Stand, Thin, Light weight Stays with your eBook reader; Less than 1 mm thin (Electronics)
I saw this in use on an acquaintance's kindle and knew I wanted one. I'm now on my second kindle and second stand and I love it as much as I thought I would. First it has almost no weight or bulk. So you can put it in whatever sleeve or holder you want and it will still fit. Second it has proven durable and SO easy to use. I find the new Kindle in particular (Kindle 3) to have a slightly odd balance - a bit heavy at the top. By using the stand while reading on my lap it balances properly. I love a well designed tool and this is that. I've also had occasion to work on an unrelated service issue with this company and they were responsive and went out of their way to be helpful. Please believe me they earned all 5 stars in this rating.
