Best product on the market for UTI's,

This is by far the best product available for Urinary Tract Infection that is over the counter. It works fast at numbing the discomfort, and as long as the UTI is in it's early stages, will knock it out of your system. I have avoided the need for a Dr's appointment with this stuff. Highly recommended.

Occasionally I have a burning sensation when urinating I take these for a few days and its gone! I have been to a doctor and don't have kidney or bladder issues and he says if this helps keep it up!!! He told me that many people have the same problems and it is generally from eating an acidic food or tight clothing while this not a horrible pain it is uncomfortable.

better than azo for quick pain relief,

I cant speak to Cystex's ability to prevent UTIs, as I dont use it as a preventitive (which is why i only gave it 4 stars-maybe that wasnt fair, but, oh well), but when you need really fast relief of UTI symptoms, definately go with this product! Azo cranberry is great as a preventative measure, and that is what I use to prevent infections. But when I stop taking it for a long time, and get a UTI, Azo's pain reliever does not relieve the pain as quickly as Cystex does. It works really really fast! I cant remember exactly how long it took, but it was definately somewhere around 20 minutes.

NOT fast relief compared to Azo,

I have been using Azo for UTI relief for years and I thought I'd try Cystex since it offered the antibacterial component. I used Cystex successfully as a preventative approach for the first couple nights after purchasing it. But last night I woke up at 3am with HORRIBLE burning, pressure, and urgency, so I took a dose of Cystex right then. It says "for fast relief," and Azo usually works for me withing the hour. So an hour went by and nothing happened, so I looked online for how long this stuff is supposed to take, and they say on their website you should feel relief in 20-30 minutes after taking the pills. NOT TRUE. After an hour and a half I took another dose to try to get it to kick in as I read other testimonials that sometimes you only get relief after you have taken two doses. Still nothing. By the third hour I took another dose as a last attempt. After nearly 5 hours I finally began to feel better, I got no sleep at all though. I will never buy this product again, that's for sure. If you need reliable, fast, in-the-middle-of-the-night, emergency pain relief go with Azo.

Cystex relieves pain in minutes. Works better than AZO or cranberry juice.

If you have ever had a bladder infection you know how painful they can be. These pills are great to go a long with medication from your doctor. They work better then AZO and less expensive the best part is they don't change the color of your urine.

I received this product very quickly and was happy to see the 100-pack tablets. I had used this before and was very satified with the results, but I was only able to get the pack of 40 and paid almost the same thing. So, it's a great product for women who suffer from recurrent UTI's and a goodly amount for a bargain price. I highly recommend it.

What a life saver! I have suffered for 30 years with chronic urinary tract irritations and this has been the first product that as soon as I feel any burning sensation I take a pill and within 15 minutes I am no longer in pain. I love that there are no side effects as well as no discoloration of urine. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

I developed a UTI and couldn't get an appointment with my doctor earlier then 3 days in advance. Waiting for prescriptions is never fun when you have a UTI and I didn't have enough to buy pyridium (the pain killer I usually use when I get UTIs) wholesale over the counter. The lady at my pharmacy suggested I take Cystex and so I decided to give it a shot.I give it 4 stars because it didn't work instantly for me. In fact, it took FOREVER to start working. Somewhere along the line I was still in pain and dealing with it simply because of the antibacterial element. The first night with Cystex was hellish. I woke up at 5 in the morning and it burned going to the bathroom. I couldn't get back to sleep until 8 and I had work the next day. I did some research and went to pick up some D-mannose tablets from the local vitamin store. I also picked up some vitamin C chewy supplements. I started taking 2 d-mannose, 2 Cystex, and a dose of 4 vitamin C tablets every few hours. (More frequent then the dosage on the box suggests) Instead of 3 times a day, I take it 4. I think the acidic urine from the vitamin C helps Cystex work better. The D-mannose insures that when I go to the restroom, I clean my urinary tract in the process, and it also helps relieve the pressure on my bladder. I take these with 2 full cups of water. When I feel the water has been flushed out of my system, I repeat this process. Everything works like a charm now. It no longer hurts to use the restroom, I don't have a need to frequently urinate, and thanks to Cystex, the infection won't spread to my kidneys while I wait to get real treatment from my doctor. Don't think that this combination will cure your UTI on it's own. There is no over-the-counter remedy for a UTI. Antibiotics are the only way to cure the infection. Despite searching the internet and finding sources that "claim" D-mannose or any other vitamins completely cure UTI's is just fake advertisement for the vitamin companies. (Since they aren't endorsed by doctors, they need SOME form of advertisement.) Hope this combination helps for others while they wait to see the doctor :) |
