Book Description

Flow cytometry is a fast means of reaching a diagnosis in many cases in hematopathology, and is becoming ever more popular as the front line in clinical practice, interesting even those with no basic training in its techniques. However, it is not always the only component necessary for an answer, so correlation with histomorphology is always welcome and often vital.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Flow Cytometry in Neoplastic Hematology by W. Gorczyca is a highly comprehensive textbook in which the author provides the classical histopathological images their quantitative examination by cytometry side by side. The side-by-side comparison is a unique feature, because most textbooks deal either with morphology or with cytometry, not with both at the same time,  without correlations. The images are excellent examples of clinical entities presented in the text. Flow cytometry is presented in a very concise and straightforward mode. [...] Overall, the book is the one every pathologist would like to have in her or his library as a reference and a guide. [...] The book is superbly written and composed and it is a valuable tool for pathologists and pathology residents as well." Dariusz Galkowski, Cytometry Part A: Journal of the International Society for Analytical Cytology, December 2007.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good book., August 8, 2007
This review is from: Flow Cytometry in Neoplastic Hematology (Hardcover)
The book contains essential knowledges and several pictures of dot plots correlated with histomorphology & immunohistochemistry, including tables showing immunophenotypic expression of any diseases. The chapters cover nearly all common diseases/problems in neoplastic hematology. This book is good for quick reference.
Co-Reading with "Flow Cytometry in Hematopathology: A Visual Approach to Data Analysis and Interpretation" (by Doyen T. Nguyen, Lawrence W. Diamond, Raul C. Braylan), which contains practical knowledges and over 80 sample cases is recommended.
