I used to drink coffee with milk and sugar with my breakfast. Now I start the day with my coffee protein shake instead.

I mix 1 scoop of this vanilla protein powder with 1 to 1.5 cups of skim milk OR unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a handful of coffee ice cubes, and 1-2 teaspoons of Maxwell House International Cafe's Toasted Hazelnut Cappuccino Beverage Mix (last ingredient is optional) in a blender. The shake was tastier than a Starbucks Frappaccino. You've got to try this!

Ive been using this protein for about 1 week since switching from six-star prof. strength Whey (sold at walmart) and I must say ... WOW! whats a huge difference. Not only did I get 6 lbs at costco for the price of 3.5 lbs at walmart, but this stuff tastes way better than SS, and it really does dissolve at the swirl of a spoon. I pruchased the vanilla and it has a nice taste with a sweet hint to it. I especially like that I can mix it with water and it doesn't taste rancid like most other proteins when mixed in water. For a treat I now mix in milk and it tastes extra great, whereas before I had too mix the SS with milk + peanut butter to mask the taste. Also, I now notice I dont have the gaseusness I had with the SS whey. Another great benefit to this whey is that it's gluten-free .... awesome! Overall, this whey is a good price, very effective for muscle recovery, has 1g more protein in 2g less serving size, and doesn't require a mixer to make it homogenous. A+++ for vanilla. I have not tried chocolate.

I've been using CytoSport Whey for several years. It's the best-tasting product around and, as other reviewers have noted, it mixes perfectly with water. I would strongly encourage everyone to consider mixing CytoSport Whey with Silk's PureAlmond, an unsweetened vanilla almond milk you can buy at Target. At 30 calories per cup, you can mix two cups of almond milk with fewer calories than one cup of skim milk, and you are avoiding all the hormones, etc., associated with cow's milk. Here is the recipe I use:

Ack's Magical Mystery Elixir

1 serving CytoSport Whey Protein Mix(@140 calories)
2 cups Silk PureAlmond unsweetened vanilla almond milk (@60 calories) (available at Target)
1 cup Nature's Three Berries (@70 calories) (available at Costco)(optional)
1 Banana (@100 calories)(optional)
2 tbls Ground Cinnamon (@32 calories)
1 tbls Vanilla Extract (@12 calories)
half cup crushed ice

Blend the above for a minute or two. For about 414 calories you have a massive meal (61g Carbs / 7g Fat / 28g protein.

This shake is insanely good, nutritious, and filling!

I am an elite athlete and I have been using this product for about a year. The taste and consistency are wonderful, particularly if you mix it in a blender, although a shaker still works well. I find it funny when I read some reviews complaining about the taste and texture. I assure you, the people who made these complaints have minimal protein experience. This protein is without question one of the smoothest, best tasting mixes I have experienced, and I have been big into protein use for nearly a decade.

It mixes well with fruit, coffee, almond milk, or any of a number of combinations (although I recommend you take your wheatgrass separately). I tend to mix this product with some almond milk, a shot of espresso, some peanut butter, a whole banana, some honey, some chocolate syrup, and a few cubes of ice to produce a shake fitting for dessert (or breakfast if you're like me and you have a sweet tooth). My dad also uses this product and combines it with blueberries, strawberries, and other fruit for a nice meal replacement in the mornings.

Fantastic stuff and the price is right. If you are looking to build lean muscle mass or replace a meal, I highly recommend this protein.

Protein powder are essential in a diet for maintaining and increasing musclemass, this one blends easily and has good flavor. Can't tell much about the results as this is a long-term process, but it claims 27g of protein + BCAAs. The reason for giving it 4 stars is its flavor, it's good but not the best.

I bought this at Costco for something like $25. Seems like a good product but it is very sweet. Has Sucralose and Acesulfame Potasium (Ace K). I don't mind those as ingredients but even if I dilute it to 1 scoop per 12 ounces water and 4 ounces coconut milk it is very sweet. Mixing in a smoothie helps a bit but you still get that artificial sweetener aftertaste. Remove the sugar and it would go to 5 stars. It does mix well. I use a magic bullet and it is blended in 20 seconds and thickens a bit.

Also the scoop is very large. 75 servings per 6 lb container. 140 calories per scoop.

I use this protein powder everyday after I work out or in my coffee when I have to skip breakfast or lunch. This stuff mixes really well and tastes great. Been using it for 3 years now.

I recently bought a 6-lb bag at Costco in San Diego for $49+tax. The flavor is good, but it has far too much artificial sweetener for my taste; half would be about right.

I mix the vanilla in 6oz of OJ with 2-3 ice cubes. I use a Rubbermaid MixerMate 16oz bottle to shake it. Ice cubes help to mix it to a clump-free consistency (think ball in spray paint can).

I used EAS from Sam's/WalMart ($39/5-lbs) but they discontinued it (read that it contains higher levels of heavy metals). I was'nt crazy about the flavor. I may try MuscleTech Whey ($35/5-lbs) when I go to Sam's.
