Book Description

Bradt Travel Guide June 1, 2006
The Czech Republic is famously home to one of Europe's most beguiling cities; Prague's pretty cobbled streets and historic buildings have charmed visitors worldwide. The West Bohemian spa region, the mountainous areas of the north and southwest, UNESCO listed sites, and castles are just some of the attractions which pepper the length and breadth of this hospitable country and are covered in the Bradt guide--one of the few guides on the market that is totally dedicated to this corner of Europe, where west meets east.

Features include:
>Full coverage of Prague's old town and historical sights
>Cycling and walking the network of well-maintained trails with advice for both experienced and first-time walkers and cyclists
>Special coverage of UNESCO listed sites
>Emerging tourist areas, such as the spas of West Bohemia

From the Back Cover

From its beautiful and bustling medieval capital to undulating countryside and snow-capped mountains, the Czech Republic is truly enchanting. Vibrant and varied, it is peppered with sleepy provincial towns, dramatic hilltop castles and unspoilt woodland--offering rich rewards for those visitors willing to look beyond the much-loved Prague.

Marc Di Duca guides you expertly and enthusiastically through a country he knows inside out. Discover elegant spa towns, deep pine forests and alpine meadows. Whether you wish to hike through the wilds of the Sumava National Park, savor the wines of South Moravia or revel in Prague's heady nightlife, Bradt's Czech Republic is the perfect travel companion.
