5.0 out of 5 stars Growing up Czech in Texas, July 28, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: We're Czechs (Centennial Series of the Association of Former Students, Texas A&M University) (Paperback)
This book does a great job of covering all aspects of the Czech experience in Texas. The book is mostly biography with social and cultural history thrown in, which makes sense becasue the author was a sociology professor at Texas A&M. He writes in an easy to read, conversational style that realy draws you in. Reading this book is kind of like listening to older folks talk about the good old days - and I truly mean that as a compliment.

Its hard to imagine what Texas would be like without its Czech influence. This book does a great job of telling the story of our Czech ancestors.
