Vienna-School composer finally gets his due, January 11, 2003

Carl Czerny was pupil to Beethoven, and teacher to Liszt. He's best known for his progressive finger exercises, the bane of every piano student for the past century and a half.
Czerny's chamber music is fiendishly difficult and seldom performed. But as this recording proves, it's frequently rich and rewarding. If you enjoy Beethoven, Schubert, and other composers of the Vienna School, this CD is simply a must-have.
Here's hoping this recording will help this underrated composer find the audience he deserves.

A real masterpiece of composition and playing, August 27, 2005

You wonder how such a wonderful piece as the Nonet could have been forgotten and it is hard to believe that this work only exists in manuscript form. And a first class performance too especially from Tanski. It is sometimes hard to imagine that you are only listening to 9 instruments with the resonance and gusto of the performance. It is filled with the most delightful melodies, virtuosic passages and worthy of any music collection. Hopfully we will hear more of this most underrated composer.
