A must for fans of Neu!,

I was so psyched that there are finally legit (albeit pricey) reissues of these classic albums. If you dig Neu! you'll love these spacey-yet-driving jamz. The sounds of planes landing, roaring crowds, and swelling synths all gel with pianos, crystalline melodies and a very Euro feel throughout. Klaus rocks the axe this time, with his bro Thomas and Hans Lampe on percussion and electronics. Comes in a cool mini-LP sleeve with liner notes in Japanese. Also check out "Viva". "White Overalls" from that album is a speaker-exploding overblown mini-masterpiece that just makes you wanna freak out and pump your fists in the air and run all over the place.

Düsseldorf Düsseldorf Düsseldorf!,

If you like Neu. by this! It is simply a continuation of the Neu! approach to music, simply better recorded. The song "Düsseldorf" is at the same time beautiful and hilarious.

classic Neu! sound,

If you like the Neu!/Kraftwerk "motorik" beat, then you will like this. The songs initially sound the same, but after a few listens you get into it. The final song "Zeit" is my favourite. Its probably not as good as the Neu! albums, but if you are a Krautrock music junkie - and you need another fix - you cant go wrong with this one.

there's better feirce french rock,
This review is from: La Düsseldorf (Audio CD)
After I got into Rammstein I decided to look for more feirce Europeaen rock bands so I found this band, but this CD doesn't make any sense. It's just the same drum beat over and over. There aren't even really choruses, it's all just dumb noises. The guy keeps going "aaaa" in a French accent and it really gets on my nerves. If you look at the songs in audacity you can see the whole envelope! How could they ship this CD out if it's not even produced? Definitely pass this. |
