At last: a CD with the best of Ottawan! They had a few hits at the beginning of the eighties and then disappeared from the scene - I have been looking for a CD of their hits ever since. All the hits are here: "D.I.S.C.O." (I played the CD with a few teenagers in my car and I could feel them swaying to the infectious rhythm of this song - they all said afterwards that it was a "cool" CD!), "Hands up", "You're OK", "Get me some help". They have a very vitalising rhythm to their songs and the vocal harmonising is reminiscent of Boney M at their very best. I was very pleasantly surprised by some of the more unknown songs on the CD, such as "Listen to the Jukebox", which I haven't heard before. This song has a melody so catchy that I had it ringing in my head for days after! Another song in this category is "Shubidubi love". This is the kind of CD you can play anywhere, anytime, with whomever you are and everybody should find something to like. It will be a worthwhile addition to any collection.

I am not certain, but believe this is the cd that has the most excellent song, HANDS UP, that you may have heard from Club Med commercials in the eighties. This song is more than reason enough to buy this cd, if it indeed is the one. 4 stars, since I am not sure.
