The dome is excessively large and cumbersome compared to the camera.

The power cable and adapter that came with it largely make the 110V power useless. considering that the main reason to purchase the dome is to mount the camera outside it would have been more reasonable to have the adapter built into the actual dome itself and then wire it up with the correct power cable direct from the mains. Instead they opted for a standard household adapter with a plug.

I'm very disappointed with the quality and design of this product, not up to the usual standard from Dlink.

For the price I would be better buying a new camera designed specifically for outdoor use.

Don't buy this product you will regret it.

I have three of these units and have been happy with them. I agree with another review that it's large and heavy. As I use them for security, I want them to be visible and built strong. The quality is excellent. The dome screws off easy to allow for cleaning or to make adjustments to the camera.

This is the second D Link Camera Dome type Outdoor enclosure I purchased. The first I had no problem with at all. The Second would not close at all. I called D Link and did not get any help at all, just to tell me I wouldn't be getting my money back from them.

I spent over two hours on the phone trying to get some assistance.

Normally D Link is very helpful, but this time not at all. It will make me very leary about purchasing D link in the future. By the way, I fixed the problem myself with my own tools.

I have had this enclosure for about a year. It is designed for professional use and is solidly built. My one caution is to mount it to a solid structure that will not move in the wind. Any excessive movement causes the D-link cameras to eventually loose their orientation requiring them to have a power down and reset. Mount it to a solid structure and it works perfectly.

This thing is heavy duty. I misread the description and thought it came with a camera. It does not.
