The USB interface easily connects the DSC-350 digital camera to a PC to download stored images or video for editing. You can then use Webcam mode to capture images, create video e-mails, or videoconference directly from the PC.
Bundled digital photo/video editing and videoconferencing software lets you print, store, share, edit, e-mail, or even post your captured memories to the Web. The MGI PhotoSuite III SE software allows easy editing and modification of digital photos. MGI VideoWave III SE software lets you combine video clips, add sound, and then save or publish the images on the Internet. The DSC-350 runs under Microsoft NetMeeting for videoconference calls over the Internet or phone line.
The DSC-350 draws power directly from the USB bus, making it ideal for use with a laptop or other portable computer.

Price refects quality.,

This review is from: D-Link DSC-350 8MB Dual Mode Digital Web Camera (Personal Computers)
I had great hopes for this camera, but none where fulfilled, except for the great price. I got this camera and immediately began to use it. It holds an incredible amount of pictures, but the problem is with the quality of the pictures. The quality is terrible. I took over 100 pictures with this camera at all resolutions and the pictures were incredibly blurry. Only about 10, out of the 100 plus pictures, were ok quality (not very good quality at that). It takes forever for this camera to be ready to even take the pictures and it is temperamental about taking pictures after that. The camera took picture very sporadically. The web cam feature is bad as well. It came in very choppy. ...

Good value for money and acceptable quality,
By Ms Alicia Weston (London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: D-Link DSC-350 8MB Dual Mode Digital Web Camera (Personal Computers)
The main drawbacks of this camera are:1) only 700,000 pixel resolution 2) manual focus 3) no flash 4) no LCD screen for 1), well, if you want more you'll have to pay commensurately more for it... but the quality at this resolution is absolutely fine for the computer. In fact, much more and it's a pain to e-mail as the file size gets too big. It has great focus (I took a photo of my pet rat about 1 inch from her face and it came out great), and you can recognise the people in the photos - what more do you want from a fun snappy camera? 2) manual focus is not a big deal, it has guidelines for distance on the lens when you turn it so as long as you can judge the difference between 0.5m and 1.5m it's easy. The software can sharpen up unfocussed pictures pretty well too. 3) no flash is not so great, but at least the batteries last longer. 4) People think it's terrible not having an LCD screen, but it's no different from an ordinary camera! You really need a screen when there is no memory so you can clear out the bad photos and not waste what limited space you have. This camera has a whopping 8mB of memory which means it can store 145-200 pictures so you can snap away and dump whatever you don't want when you download it onto the PC Overall I found it fun, easy to use, easy to download the pictures once you get used to it and very fun to manipulate them and change the colours. All my friends have new portraits now! I will be buying one for my sister and also my parents for Christmas...

Not the Best out there but it gets the Job Done,
By Tammy (FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: D-Link DSC-350 8MB Dual Mode Digital Web Camera (Personal Computers)
I have had this for about 2 weeks now and can't complain. I mean it has it's downsides, but I don't need to take pictures to print out or any close ups of flowers or anything like that. I use it on trips, I take pictures of my friends and family and come home to keep those pictures on my computer. And everyonce and a while i will use the camera for a netmeeting chat with a friend. It works and it is not [price] or more. And it doubles as a Webcam. It doesn't get much more convienent.
