5.0 out of 5 stars Winner
I was skeptical about a usb wireless adapter being able to receive the signal from my router for any significant distance. No longer am I skeptical. While I have not tried its range, I am confident that it would work in any reasonably sized house.
Effortless install on my XP box & has worked perfectly ever since (1 month to date).

1.0 out of 5 stars WRONG ITEM
the seller sent an older version of this item. there are five releases. the original, revision b, revision c, revision d, and revision e. the seller sent an original product in a revision c package(i guess to trick me into thinking i got a newer version) the product overall is decent but it is not compatable with windows 7 and has no updatets for drivers available online...

In the description for this product it said that it was compatible with my xp system but unfortunately I could never get this product to work for more then 2 seconds. I checked my usb connections and updated all of the drivers but nothing helped

I chose this N-wireless Adapter for its alleged compatibility with Ubuntu. When I plugged it in and booted up, it went right to work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great adapter, great price, January 6, 2010

I bought a couple of these adapters for my house. So far they have worked great without any issues. On a Vista computer, I plugged it in and they worked right off the bat. On my XP machine, I did have to download updated drivers from what was on the CD before it would connect properly. I get great reception/speed from the 802.11n protocol over the 802.11b adapters these replaced. If I needed more adapter, I would absolutely purchase more of these.

1.0 out of 5 stars Item Shipped Not the Item Described, September 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: D-Link DWA-130/RE Wireless N USB Adapter Refurbished (Personal Computers)
The item described on Amazon was a Wireless N type USB adapter. The label on the packaging matched the product description, but when I opened the box I found a PC Card G type wireless adapter. In my case it was OK as I was replacing some USB adapters for older notebooks that still had PC Card slots. The drivers that shipped with the PC Cards were for Win2k & WinXP SP2. That was OK for this application also. But be warned; it wasn't what I ordered.
