5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Access Point, WPA-Enterprise Setup is Clean., December 21, 2007

Unit is solid and sturdy and has a bit of a utilitarian look to it. The software that comes with it lets you manage multiples of these devices at a time at a layer 2 level, meaning even if you don't know what it's IP address it, it'll find it and you can set it.

I had never setup WPA enterprise before, so it took a little bit of googling and trial and error, but I did get this going.

Device seems "faster" than the Linksys WAP54G we have been using.

I will be getting additional units to replace all the SOHO Linksys & Dell APs we've got in our organization all currently running WEP...

5.0 out of 5 stars Manager, September 28, 2007
This review is from: D-Link DWL-3200AP Managed AP PoE AES SNMP 802.11g Plenum Chassis (Personal Computers)
Our resort needed a stronger product for our wireless. The DWL3200AP was recommended. We updated our wireless to the DWL3200AP and the response was well worth the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product, and the price...wow!!, October 8, 2008

I have had this access point for a year now. I have only had to restart it once and I think it was because of instability in the LAN in general. It works 100% of the time. I configured it via its web-based interface and never had to touch it again. In the reliability department it is just 110% excellent.

Feature-wise is also 5 stars. I won't mention everything because you can see detailed information in the DLink website, but you can secure it using various protocols, you can exclude specific MAC addresses, and the AP logs everything. I have not used it, but the AP can log directly to a server (SQL server, I think). It doesn't say anywhere, and I had to ask DLink support about this: It supports 64 simultaneous clients and its range is VERY good. I use it indoors in a 2-story house. The device is in the second floor, near the center of the house (which is about 10 meters wide and about 18 meters deep) and it covers indoors entirely, both floors! Conceded, on the first floor there are spots where I get a poor signal, but even with poor signals, I am never disconnected and I still get 11 MBps, which is way more than enough for Internet browsing (I have cable, 2 MBps, that translates to 230 kb/s approx.).

And let's have a look at the price: AMAZINGLY CHEAP! If you cannot cover your house with one, then get 2! If I ever have problems in an area, I'm sure I'll buy a second one without a second thought. This thing is rock-solid, the mounting is discrete, the antennas can be positioned, you can configure which antenna to use... I'll stop now because it is never-ending. :-) Buy with confidence!
