Decent, but falsely advertised,
This review is from: D-Link Wireless G USB Adapter WUA-1340 - Network adapter - Hi-Speed USB - 802.11b, 802.11g (Electronics)
At the time I ordered this item, the documentation said that it worked on Windows 98 SE, which it did not. The only thing that saved this was when I hooked up another computer with XP.

I've been using this for my desktop computer, which unlike most laptops, did not come with wireless capabilities. It's really easy to set-up; you basically just insert the USB dongle into one of your USB drives, install the drivers, and it will start searching for WiFi signals to connect to. Could not be easier. It never has given me problems so far, I've owned it for over 8 months, now. It's not big, either, which is very nice as it doesn't take up to much room. I just stuck it in the back of my desktop PC. But if you have a non-wifi laptop, it would work great with that as well, since it's not a huge USB dongle.
Since it is G speed, the speed on the home network is pretty fast. I definitely noticed a huge difference from upgrading to the older "B" speeds. If you're looking for a cheap, easy way to get your computer hooked up through WiFi, this is a great product!

When I bought my refurbished Compaq laptop (Windows XP Pro) at a low price, it didn't provide wireless capability. I ordered one of these D-Link adapters and it worked fine. The only problem was that my laptop has only two usb ports and the adapter is large and prevents the second usb port from being used. I put a four port hub in one of the usb ports, the adapter in one of the ports, my mouse in another, and I have one left to use my flash drive. Perfect. The D-Link adapter is still functioning well after more than a year.
