DNAngel Volume 11 is one of my favorites in this series. The newest character, Argentine, takes a bigger role in this manga than volume 10.

Don't read this if you don't want to know what happens (spoilers):


The major conflict in this book is that Argentine kidnaps risa, thinking she's dark's sacred maiden. Daisuke finds out and immediately rushes to the ferris wheel (where risa's supposed to be) but only finds her bag, cell phone, and a note from argentine in the car. He gets so angry he transforms into dark on his own and flys off to find the kidnapper. Unfortunately, the police are at the park and follow him. Daisuke's body couldn't handle the stress of freely transforming into dark, so he ends up turning back into daisuke and falling into the forest. The police run to the scene only to find Satoshi standing there. Truth is, Satoshi helped hide Daisuke/Dark saying he wants to catch Dark the way he(satoshi) plans - instead of a mob of police-officers. Daisuke faints and wakes up 2 days later (but not before having a truly "frightening" nightmare) as does riku and risa.

Risa wakes up at argentines house. He realizes this and started walking towards her, asking if she really is dark's sacred maiden. She gets freaked out (i would be if i woke up in some stranger's house) and throws a vase with roses at him. Risa runs out of the house and onto a balcony but realizes the stairs to get down are gone! Argentine approaches her again, telling her he wants to become Kokuyouku and he needs her to do that. Risa is thoroughly confused and asked what a Kokuyouku is, and Argentine explains it's the being Krad and Dark create when they are together (because they're "halves of one whole"). The girl askes if Argentine is even human and he says no, and neither is dark. She gets angry when he says dark isn't human and says if argentine comes any closer she'll jump off the balcony (argenine had told her if she fell she would disappear forever). Argentine agrees not to come closer.

At the Niwa's house, daisuke has woken up but finds out he can barely move. His mom grabs him in a bear hug and calls Kosuke and her dad to come in ect.ect. Kosuke said he had researched about Argentine while Daisuke was unconscious. It turns out the artwork Argentine belongs to is supposedly destroyed, but they cannot find out why he didn't disappear. Daisuke starts to make his way to the door, claiming he's going to help save Risa. Dark says he can't help him since daisuke's acting out of anger and it would be dangerous because the boy could end up like satoshi - not having control over his other half. Daisuke says he doesn't care and he'll save Risa by himself. You find him trying to climb down a tree, but he slips and almost falls. He spots Satoshi there and climbs back down to see him. Satoshi says he had been looking for him and knows where Argentine is. Thus the book ends with YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER!

then there's little short stories in the back...
