The truth comes out!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By Dennis Jiang "Evilcon-114" (Visalia, California USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: D.N.Angel Vol 7 - Light Breaks (DVD)
Well ladies and gentlemen the finale of d.n.angel has finally been released. Most are wonder exactly what happened after krad pulled the wedge of time after the 6th dvd and this just ends it all. I wont say too much otherwise i will spoil this dvd to good fans, but if you must know the ending isnt exactly bad. There were a few scenes where I felt as if there were strong emotions flowing through me, but after that it was just heart warming. We get to see how Krad and Dark were created and learning the truth about the hikari's and the Niwa's deepest secrets. I was satisfied with the ending of how the relationship ends with Daisuke and Riku and as a bonus ill even tell you that there was a slight hint of two special people getting together. Over all this series was just wonderful overall and I recommend this dvd to all those who have previously watched the other 6.

Awesome Ending to a Wonderful Series,
This review is from: D.N.Angel Vol 7 - Light Breaks (DVD)
DNAngel's last volume is the best one in the series. The first episode wraps the "Second Hand of Time" arc up, while the last 2 episodes deal with Krad, Dark, and their existance. This is an essential to watch, and is really a fitting ending for the anime series. Mio Hio is also back in the story, and her character develops even further. I really disliked her around DVD 4 or so, since she was so clingy to Daisuke, but when she returned in this volume I really really liked her.All the characters develop even further, and the ending to the story is fitting, but should have you crying a bit at least. The special features on the DVD are amazing. DNAngel is known for having many many special features on their DVD's and this one is no exception. There's a... -Voice Actor Commentary with Greg Ayres (Hiwatari) and Krad's Dub Voice (Forgive me, I can't remember right now >_<) ~ This commentary is amusing, and it'll make you laugh, especially if you're the ones who made Greg Ayres, while at the conventions, say in his Satoshi voice, "I love you, Daisuke." -DNAngel Talk with Miyu Irino and Shunichi Miyamoto ~ I haven't listened to this one yet, but Miyu Irino is Daisuke's seiyuu, and Shunichi Miyamoto is the person who did the wonderful "Byakuya ~True Light~" OP theme for DNAngel and the touching "Michishirube" for the last episode ending theme. -Production Art -Textless OP Theme "Byakuya ~True Light~, and the last episode opening in which Dark tells Daisuke not to forget... (Not going to tell you what.) -Textless ED Theme "Hajimari no Hi", "Caged Bird", and "Michishirube" -ADV Previews -DVD Credits So, evidentally, there are a lot of extras on this DVD. Overall, DNAngel Vol. 7 doesn't dissapoint at all, and its a definate must buy for anyone who enjoys light shoujo touches, and some lighter shounen aspects, and lots of character development. (Sorry if this review was too long...)

I'm finding myself pleasantly caught off guard right now. Looking back on this series and knowing what I know now about whom these characters are and what their stories are, I can really appreciate what happened earlier in the series and really take in the gravity of what each event meant. In the end, the staff took a big chance with this story since there was very little indication that this story was going anywhere for the first half. The staff really had to trust that their audience would stick it out to the end and those of them that did were treated to a great ending. While it did manage to get stuck on a couple of clichés and spots of poor writing, it did its job and gives the audience enough to feel satisfied. Definitely a series that will get a full replay from me at some point in the future and recommended.
