Very good resource, with spec. focuses, August 1, 2010
This review is from: D' Nealian Handwriting: Level 1 (Paperback)
I haven't started using this book just yet, but have had it on the shelf a while. A score from the local library book sale.
Anyhow, this book is almost 150 pages, and there is a good variety of (d'nealian) handwriting skills all in one place. I think every page has multiple writing exercises, with exception to the prewriting skills. There are colorful illustrations, a letter direction sheet in the back of the book, and 4 units of work. The 4 units cover: Getting ready to write, Writing lower case, writing numbers and words, and writing capital letter.
The pages focus on the writing of words, sentences, proper nouns/names, sentence structure and spacing. The letter pages have a dot, to show the starting point of letter/writing.
If you're looking for a d'nealian style writing source, this would be a good choice. I'm looking forward to getting started with it.
The pages have a dash style perforation for tearing out. You could probably make it last for more than one child, if you were to put the pages into a binder with plastic page protectors and use a fine-point, dry-erase marker.
