Contractors, construction workers, and avid do-it-yourselfers will want to keep these blades on hand for varying jobs that call for making rips and crosscuts in both hardwoods and softwoods. Appropriate application materials include oak, pine, plywood, pressure-treated lumber, and beams.
Produces Smooth, Quiet Cuts with Laser-Cut Kerf
The Freud D1040A blades' clean-cutting design means that you can enjoy the comfort of smooth performance. The thin 0.98-inch kerf between each of the blades' 40 ATB (alternate-top bevel) teeth is laser cut to provide ease of feed, so you have more control over each blade's position. This helps maximize both the accuracy of the cut and the efficiency of your work, so you enjoy a job well done and the ability to complete more tasks in less time.
An added bonus, the blades' laser-cut stabilizer vents reduce noise and vibration during operation, keeping your work environment more relaxed and your hands more in control. This feature also reduces friction and warping of the blades, helping extend their cutting life.
Features Shock-Resistant Carbide for Long-Lasting Precision
So you can count on them over the long term, the Freud D1040A blades are designed for durability. The blades' hardy teeth are protected by Freud's exclusive shock-resistant TiCo Hi-Density Carbide formula, which helps fight wear and tear and maintains blade sharpness up to four times longer than standard carbide. And protecting each blade is Perma-Shield Non-Stick Coating that provides resistance to heat and corrosion.
Fits Miter and Table Saws
The Freud D1040A blades are a great addition to your workshop because they are designed with the versatility to fit a variety of table and miter saws, including sliding miter saws.
This product is covered by Freud's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

I bought a Craftsman table saw that, on starting, sounded as though it was a bit unbalanced. It just made a loud sound when the power was switched on that went away once the blade was up to speed. I put this blade on and that all went away. Really smooth cutting blade.

I ordered this blade because I have an on-going project of deck remodeling that just seems to go on and on. I use mainly pressure treated wood (2x6's). Pressure treated stuff can be hard on blades. So far, used on three different occasions, this blade has been GREAT! It makes a very, very smooth cut....especially considering it's only a 40 tooth general purpose blade. I use it on my compound mitre saw. It makes ultra smooth cross-cuts and excellent mitre cuts. I'm extremely pleased with this baby so far.
