Bought a "pyle" of crap Pyle Red Label.
Hooked it up and it sounded like crap. 20 minutes later it died.
It wasn't even worth returning so now it's a fancy paperweight.

Naturally, I was skeptical about buying another "cheapo" speaker but I trusted the reviews on this Boss and went for it.
Man, am I ever glad I did, this little bugger rocks.

I've got it in a custom box under the back seat of my F150 Supercrew and am hitting it with 150W rms from a bridged Kenwood 350w amp and factory 6 disc player.
Honestly, I am amazed at how great it sounds.

The only thing that surprised me was that I received a Phantom instead of the Diablo I ordered.
However, there is no way I'm sending it back. I can't imagine that the Diablo could be any better.
Anyway, Iif you don't want to drop a large chunk of change on a sub and want excellent performance, I highly suggest this one.

Some people say you can't have your cake and eat it too... With this sub you can. I built my own box to fit behind my truck seat and since it was almost the exact same specifications as what the manufacturer called for, it sounds amazing! You don't need thousands of watts to have a TON of clean, great sound. Tune your amp right, put the sub in the right enclosure and this sub will treat you well. For the money I paid, I'm getting more than its worth. From this sub alone, I've become a big fan of BOSS Audio!

Two years ago I bought a Pyle subwoofer system on Amazon, ok? They don't sell it anymore, which is good because it sucked. It not only sounded crappy it blew after a few months. Well, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this sub for only $34.99! To make a long story short I bought it, pulled out the old crappy sub (which is called a "blue wave" - lame) and put this sweet thang in. I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it! You'll see angels cry when your hear the Diablo sing.

MY friend and I installed this bad boy in a cylindrical vented enclosure and let me tell you, this thing THUMPS! I was very suprised by its performance. Amazom accidentally sent us the Diablo when we ordered a Phantom so we gave this sub a try a decided we liked it too much to deal with the returning process. Very nice sub

My girlfriend bought two of these and the nx2000.2 amp for my birthday. First off they look amazing in my custom box, in my good ol 3000gt. They have amazing kick and response. Running at 500 watts and 4 ohms they drive perfectly and sound clean. Ran into no problems installing and would definitely buy them again if anything went wrong. I suggest these for anyone thats looking for a quick sub system. They aren't competition worthy but for the novice and casual drive they are perfect. btw my whole car shakes from all the power.

Needed a replacement for a speaker in my powered sub-woofer for home use. The Boss offered a great price and, once installed works beautifully. This speaker handles higher power and , I believe, is built far better than what it replaced.

i love this sub i bumps hard i have a pyramid artic series 1000 watt and it sounds awsome i would recamend,update.this sub blew.ythe glue came loose and now the whole speaker rattles.im using a 500 watt amp

From previous reviews I was under the impression that the speaker was cheap quality, would blow after a day of playing it loud - not the case at all. The subwoofer here is is great quality for an awsome price- not cheaply made materials. my set-up is not for compatition or letting ppl know i am ten blocks from home. i just needed more knock when i drop the tailgate, for setting off alarms 1 block away;)I have one speaker in an enclosed box in my 06 toyota tundra dbl cab. becuase its shallow it doesn't need a hudge box or alot of space (i keep my back seats, it sits on the floor). I have ordered another sub, and am ordering another box for the compartment under back seat. two subs, under rear seat, enclosed box, gansta amp, 21/2 blocks of knock ;} glorious...

This woofer looks and sounds great, for the money its a deal! The minimum air space requirement is only .5 - .6 cubic ft, and with 94db sensitivity, they doesn't require alot of power to achieve good sound. For $40 bucks, this low pro woofer compares with ones priced at $80+.

This thing is crazy for how cheap it was! I am very impressed at the quality and sound produced. I started out running it on a cheapo pyramid amp and it sounded good, then upgraded to a JVC with 175 watts RMS running to it. it sounds excellent, in a sealed box in my chevy S-10. it was just what the doctor ordered to add that missing low end punch in my music. It sounds like live music, the perfect combination with alpine door and dash speakers and a Sony deck.
