Nikon D5000 review,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: D5000 Digital SLR Camera Body (Refurbished) (Electronics)
I am a person on a pretty tight budget and after spending a couple of years shooting with the Nikon D40, I decided to step up. I love the D40 but this camera rocks. It is relatively the same size as the D40, D3000 and D3100 so it is great for carrying out on long days of shooting.
Afer shooting with the my old D40, I really noticed that the light sensor really makes that big of a difference on the D5000. It has the same light sensor as the D90. Active D lighting really helps also in mid day settings. If you are going to shoot HDR shots, you will want a camera with bracketing and the D5000 is easy to set up and shoot bracketed shots. I haven't messed with the scene modes since I mainly shoot in P,S and A modes so I can't give you any feed back on those features. Seriously....if you are considering buying a D3000, spend the extra money and get a camera that you won't want to replace in 6 months.
