D700 and Nikkor lens Is it true that if I get a D700 all of my Nikkor lenses that I have for my Fuji S5 aren't going to work with it.

It depends on the lenses you have. If you have DX lenses (12-24DX, 17-55DX, 18-200DX, etc.), you'll see vignetting. If you have 35mm size lenses (17-35, 70-200, 50, 85, 300, etc.), you're good to go. I'm glad I held onto my full-frame lenses and only purchased only one DX (a 12-24 Tokina). I can't wait to use my 17-35 on the D700 body!

and one more question to ask the experts
i bought the older ais lens....manual
i was advised focussing is not an issue as the clever d700 like d300 and d200...will flash a 'green' light on the viewing window
is that correct?
and is the focussing accurate... i am getting older and my God-given optics are failing me !!

cheers
