This board supports:
Only DDR 400, not DDR2. And up to 4gb.
For dual channel, use corresponding ram slot colors (blue/blue, black/black)
Up to Pentium 4, Dual cores work on the 945 chipset, this is 915.
This board has 7 ports, thus it is an ATX and will fit only in an ATX case.

If upgrading a current store bought pc, most of the store units are mATX which is too small. Check the back for how many ports are on the bottom. 4 is mATX, 7 is ATX.

This review was upgraded to show people more detailed specs before they rate bad. This is a great board if you know what you're doing, and are an experienced computer builder. However, it's not too hard to look at detailed specs on the Intel D915PGN support page.

**P.S. NO ETHERNET ON THIS BOARD**

This motherboard is SOLELY for a Dell. The product description should have more clearly stated that fact. I wasted time and money with this order.

I've put together two systems with these boards now. One is a casual web browser for a 6 year old girl running Fedora and this other is an Ubuntu media server. One thing to watch for, this board will not support the cedar mill processors. You have to stick with the Prescott. I tried installing a 651 cedar mill 3.4. It booted, completed memory tests, but was very unstable and would not load an operating system. I switched it to a 650 Prescott 3.4 and it is running perfectly now. The Celeron D's work too but not the Pentium D. Stick with single core Prescott and add your own nic and graphics card for a very nice system. I prefer non integrated networking and graphics anyway.

Ordered this as a replacement board for my client. I did not notice that the board came without a VGA source. Luckily I had a VGA card and got the client's computer up and running. Great price!

it works good for replacements and builds, but i should have paid more attention when i bought it. #1 this is a full ATX board, not a mATX. it does have 4 ram slots, but it is DDR, but #2 for the non computer savvy people, it doesn't have the regular output for plugging in a monitor cable, i keep adapters on hand. i just didn't notice it when i bought it. just watch the cpu you put in, not all socket 775 are the same

I bought two of these boxed boards (15.00 ea.) because my big Dell Pentium 4 XPS that I do CAD on suddenly died. This board does not have a video card and it does not have a network port. You have to add a video card and a Network card if you want one. That was fine with me because I use a two screen video setup and I wanted to use the PCIe card out of my old DELL. Worked fine. This board has four SATA one connections, one floppy connector and a connector for an IDE cable for IDE harddrives. The flat cable comes in the box as does the floppy cable. This board use only the Intel Pentium (Prescott Series) of processors. It also only uses DDR 400 RAM - up to 4 GB. The board fits in a ATX case. It would not fit either of my old DELL cases or my newer DELL XPS case. (Dell makes there own mobos anyway.) To make this board work, you need a ATX case, A good Processor Cooling fan that mounts on top of the processor, a Pentium 4 -Prescott processor, up to four Ram Simms -at least two, a power supply, a harddrive, (either SATA IDE) a CD/DVD drive and a legal copy of Windows XP. I added a SATA Crucial M500 Solid State Drive. The system works well. With the SSD drive it is very fast as all of XP can be loaded onto the SDD for very fast bootup. Its an old style board but if you want to keep your copy of XP alive a few more years this is a cheap board and you can build a good cheap computer with it. Good Luck.

This mobo does Not fit a Dell Optiplex GX620 because I tried it in mine and it doesn't come close. The review stating that it fits "only" a Dell is false and should not be allowed to remain for others to read. I contacted the seller and asked if it would fit my Dell and never received a response so I depended on the review stating that it only fit a Dell! I does appear to be new though.
