5.0 out of 5 stars Dakine backs their products
Let me start by saying that I owned the last year's model of these gloves and they lasted for about 5 rides before the finger pads completely fell apart. But Dakine's awesome customer service gave me an RMA to ship them back and I had this model shipped right back to me in no time. This model is a much improved model of full finger downhill style MTB gloves over...

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible, just terrible.
These came torn when I recieved them. They are made from cheap terry cloth and as I pulled them on for the first time, they ripped even more. I box a pair of Fox sidewinders and they are 100X better quality. Pass on these, they are thin and poorly made... garbage.

This review is from: DAKINE Cross X Glove - Men's (Apparel)
Let me start by saying that I owned the last year's model of these gloves and they lasted for about 5 rides before the finger pads completely fell apart. But Dakine's awesome customer service gave me an RMA to ship them back and I had this model shipped right back to me in no time. This model is a much improved model of full finger downhill style MTB gloves over previous versions. With full hand protection and palm gel that's makes you feel protected but won't tear your hands up from the construction. The middle and index fingers have extra grip on the pads of the fingers for braking and the adjustable wrist strap adjusts for many wrist sizes. The back of the thumb has the normal terrycloth construction for wiping sweat away as well. I say for the price these gloves definitely do the trick. They may not be as durable if you are a heavy downhiller that tends to eat it a lot. But for the more casual rider that keeps a good balance between cross country and light downhill, these gloves may be right up your alley. Although I would always recommend trying gloves on at the store first before buying. So if you decide to try these, I think you can find them at most Sports Chalets biking departments...usually on sale.
