I have extremely poor circulation in my hands, and I finally splurged on a pair of these gloves in the hope that a more expensive, Gore-tex lined glove would banish my perennially-numb hands to the history books.

3.0 out of 5 stars great gloves but
These are warm, dry & comfy gloves but even on the 3rd generations of this model, Dakine still cant seem to figure how out to make the stitching better. I tore the insides of this within 5 days of riding. Thankfully Dakine is honoring the warranty.

I have extremely poor circulation in my hands, and I finally splurged on a pair of these gloves in the hope that a more expensive, Gore-tex lined glove would banish my perennially-numb hands to the history books.

These gloves got their first real test in Taos, New Mexico, where I was snowboarding. After sustained periods of time in sub-10 degree weather, I can offer two conclusions:

1) these gloves will not keep your hands warm if you have poor circulation. The tightness around the palm, along with the inherently inefficient design of gloves (which have discrete finger profiles and therefore do not allow transfer of warmth as in mittens)

2) if it is truly cold, wear the liners. They are essential to the good function of these gloves.

All in all I am pleased with these gloves. Except in extreme conditions and towards the end of a long day boarding, they keep my hands warm and dry. I would suggest these to a friend, but if you really have problems keeping your hands warm, buy a pair of these in mitten form.
