Very easy to use spackling compound

Dap usually has very good spackling material and this is even better. The color changing ability is very handy. Wet it's pink; dry it's white. Otherwise it's basically the normal quick dry spackling that you can use to repair defects in your drywall using a spatula and some sand paper.

Not great but not terrible.

I've used this product before and it works okay but has some issues. The whole pink to white feature its kind of useless in my experience. Anyone that knows how to read a clock can get by without it.

The real issue I've found is its durability. I've used other spackles that simply hold up better. DryDex is fine for patching nail holes but don't use it where it'll see any kind of wear and tear. Around outside corners, around doorjambs, large patches, that kind of thing. It pops out over time or cracks. This is right next to other brands of spackle that doesn't seem to have any problems.

The final problem, and this is a small one, is that it browns over time. When I moved into this apartment the walls had numerous spackle patches from previous tenants that hadn't been painted over. Finding several nail holes and other defects that had been missed I repaired them with DryDex. After about a year they had started turning tan/brown. This is in a non-smoking home and none of the other patches experiences the same problem. Maybe the color changing ingredient is starting to oxidize? Whatever the cause, make sure you paint it after you apply it or it will look poorly.

Best spackling yet

This spackling takes the guess work out of repair jobs. It still takes as long to dry but you don't have to keep going back to test it. Also, you don't have to worry about finger prints/markings from checking to see if it is dry. That saves time and extra applications. It goes on pink and when you notice it is white it is ready to sand and/or paint. It is a great product, I suggest it to anyone.

NOTE this is 1/2 a pint, good for ~6"x6" application

First, know this is an awesome product, very easy to use. Second note that amazon is selling 1/2 a pint for just under $4 at the time of writing. Home depot will sell you a pint for ~$5, a quart for ~$7.50, and a gallon for ~$18. I bought this to verify it would do what I needed to do, next stop home depot to patch up the other holes. Make sure you seal the product well if you want it to not dry out (I suggest after you close the lid, wrap it in plastic wrap if you have a quart or larger size...

I'll keep this short and straight to the point. This spackle sticks very well and fills most holes you need to cover. It spreads smoothly like a creamy peanut butter and the time indicator is very accurate. Logically, the center takes the longest to dry and that is usually the last part to turn from pink to white. This should be an industry standard and I will never go back to using any other brand.

This stuff is awesome for repairing holes or dings in drywall

Had to move out of an apartment and wanted an easy way to fix some of the dents and holes in the walls so my landlord didn't crush me with repair fees. This stuff is incredibly easy to use. All you will need is some sandpaper and paint afterwords and you are good to go!
