4.0 out of 5 stars Werewolves, Perversions and Kidnapped victims .. Oh my! December 21, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Dark Moon is a thrilling perversion of shapeshifting fun. When Ruth told me it was "darker than the others" I was unsure what she meant. Now I know.

Dark Moon is a spin-off from the usual Moon series. Dark Moon introduces Cole, one of the Marshall cousins and an employee of Decorah Security.

In Dark Moon, Decorah Security provides assistance a rescue mission for the kidnapped victim, Karen.

Cole and Emma have been fighting their mutual attraction since they set eyes on one another. Unfortunately, they are both being assigned to rescue a woman who has been taken to a cruise ship that entertains wealthy guests.

His role, the wealthy playboy and hers the temporary girlfriend until found boring ... You can imagine how well they work together as they struggle with the lust rolling through them. Mates denying how they feel? It makes for an entertaining curveball!

The Windward cruise ship provides the opportunity for any fantasy to be fulfilled. From historical sexy reenactments, to caged women on display, this book is by far a profoundly twisted turn from York's regular work. From consensual fun to rape and murder, Dark Moon is a fun ride of BDSM and survival.

The only thing I wish could be different about this book is a more descriptive and lengthier content for the perversions. Although the ideas were incredible and by far deliciously tasteful, it would have been nice to experience them with more pages. But, that's just me.

I most definitely recommend this book to MATURE adults ONLY! Severely strong and yummy sexual content and moderately violence although mildly descriptive. I highly suggest not allowing this book to be read by teenagers or "immature adults" ... Seriously people? Think before you treat your child like an adult. This book is inappropriate for younger eyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sizzling Sex on the High Seas January 1, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
What happens when two private security operatives--an alpha werewolf and a sexy blonde who doesn't know her partner can grow fur or that he's marked her as his lifemate--go undercover aboard a by-invitation-only cruise ship designed to fulfill its guests' every sexual fantasy? Cole's and Emma's mission: to extract the kidnapped daughter of a rich man against whom the ship's even richer owner has a personal grudge, which he plans to act out by, first, forcing his victim into sexual servitude and, second, by killing her.

With all the hot and often kinky sex going on around them, Cole and Emma have an increasingly hard time keeping their mutual attraction under wraps. Aroused beyond bearing by the sights, sounds, and smells surrounding them, they can't keep their hands off each other. On top of that inconvenient little problem, the sex slaves are engaged in a covert rebellion--and are being killed for their efforts against their master's regime.

So how are Cole and Emma going to get their vic and themselves safely off The Good Ship Erotica (actually, The Windward)? The prospects look pretty grim until help appears from an unlikely "inside" source.

The sex is hot, the suspense fast-paced, and the premise definitely intriguing. You'll want to read this one in one sitting.

5.0 out of 5 stars DARK MOON, an engaging read January 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Fans of Rebecca York's Moon series will enjoy this latest installment, DARK MOON, which also begins a new series, DECORAH SECURITY. Cole Marshall and Emma Richards, both employees of this security firm, are charged with freeing Karen, a young woman held aboard a cruise ship converted by the owner into a floating pleasure palace, the pleasure being sexual in nature with no holds barred. Many of the "actors," among them the kidnapped woman, are forced to help fulfill the kinky and more often than not, sadistic fantasies of passengers and are veritable sex slaves.

Cole and Emma board the ship, their cover that of a couple intending to add some spice to their relationship. Under other circumstances, their burgeoning attraction to one another might make the job easier, but not only are they on board for a dangerous job, Cole has a secret he hasn't shared with the woman he's coming to love: he's a member of a generations-old family with the ability to turn into a werewolf. Whether or not he'll be able to use that ability to free Karen is open to question, but should the need arise and Emma witnesses his transformation, how will she react? Will her feelings for him change?

That question is at the heart of DARK MOON, along with how, being veritable onboard prisoners themselves, will Cole and Emma be able to rescue Karen and the others enslaved by the cruel owner of the Windward? Their relationship simmers, their love scenes sizzle and the fight to save everyone's lives aboard this floating Sin City will keep the reader flipping the pages of Dark Moon and pulling for Cole and Emma's success.

Overall, not a bad read. Some stories are just predictable, but enjoyable none the less. One little surprise at the end. Worth a read.
