Romantic suspense master, author Rebecca York, has done it again with her latest release in the Decorah Security series, Dark Powers. She takes you on a page-turning, wild ride as only she can.

Former Baltimore PD detective, Ben Walker, is still guilt-ridden over his last case when he is assigned to help Sage Arnold find her kidnapped sister. Their attraction to each other instantly scorches them both and complicates their search for Laurel, the missing sister.

The police in fictional Doncaster, MD, where Laurel disappeared, are no help. They may even be part of a larger conspiracy that raises the stakes for Ben, Sage and Laurel. Worse, the town has a history of women going missing. None of those cases has been solved.

Meanwhile, Laurel finds her self imprisoned in a frilly little girl's room by a man in a mask who calls her by his dead daughter's name. She's not the first woman he's taken and tried to make over into his little girl. He's killed the others, just as he'll do to her if she can't convincingly play the role he demands.

Rebecca York deftly mixes suspense, romance and paranormal talents. She creates characters you care about and situations that keep you on the edge of your seat. Dark Powers will keep you guessing - and you'll enjoy every minute of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will keep you guessing October 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Rebecca York specializes in unusual paranormal romantic suspense, and Dark Powers is her latest entry in her new Decorah Security series. Ben Walker, the Decorah agent, is tortured by his past and thinks he doesn't deserve a woman like Sage Arnold, no matter how attracted he is to her, no matter how sensually she ignites his dreams. His assignment to find Sage's younger sister is complicated when Sage insists on accompanying him and is further complicated when his paranormal power--being able to read the dead--leads him down a chilling path. Dark Powers is everything you expect from Rebecca York--characters who make you care, a plot that keeps you guessing, and a big finish that you didn't see coming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another POWERHOUSE Novel by Rebecca York! October 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The chemistry between the title characters (Ben and Sage) is just electrifying! The other characters from the town are both "respectable" and "disreputable" at any given moment. The setting is a small town with small town politics and the person doing the killings is who you would least expect it to be! The storyline is a page turner - I read the book in a day!
