This review is from: D DAY NORMANDY: Weapons, Uniforms, Military Equipment (Paperback)
While this book does a fair job of covering the equipment and uniforms used on D-Day, the author should have had it more thoroughly proofread. It's Erwin not Edwin Rommel (pg.12) Also, Hauptman was not a Major, but a Captain in the German army. (pg.56) Also, I would have liked to have seen more real humans modeling the gear/uniforms rather than Dragon action figures. The color pictures are the strength of this book. I would suspect this book will be purchased by a good amount of reenactors like myself who are sticklers for authenticity and detail. This book could've done better in that area.

I collect military equipment from WW1 and WW2 as a hobby. One of my nephews got interested in my hobby and this book helped bring his interest to a higher level. I liked it enough that I plan to buy a copy for myself as a reference material. The pictures were really great.
