Diddy knew exactly what he was doing when he picked this crew. Q and Willie are the guys who would make a woman do a double take when they walk by; Mike's eyes could make a woman forget her words; Donnie is just friggin' ridiculously gorgeous (never mind that he's not part of Day 26, he's close enough!); Brian A. has that passion and raw energy that R&B artists of the past have; and I can ALWAYS tell when Robert comes in because of his powerful voice. Notice that I mentioned the last two member's voices over looks. That's not because they're not nice on the eyes, but I find it ironic that Diddy said they were the weakest links, but their voices stand out to me. I like all five members' voices, specifically Mike's, but those are the two that stick out on every track.
Silly Love: The chorus of this song is so annoying with that nah nah nee nah nah nah, but it's okay. Come With Me: I love the way they performed this song on the show, so this was a favorite track for me. I guess it could be the new jump-off track, but I don't like the choppy part that Q does on the song. It messes up the vibe. I really like Robert's and Brian's parts on this song. Co Star: It's a smooth, romantic jam. Pretty good. I like Q's part on this song. He has such a wonderful voice, but I think sometimes he gets drowned out. Come In (My Doors Open): The harmonizing at the beginning is tight. It could be a female thing, but the begging makes me like this song. This is the usual track when a guy tries to talk a woman out of an empty relationship, and it works! Are We In This Together: It's easy to like a song that you have a visual to. Every time I hear this song, I remember Brian singing in the studio with his arms out looking like he was REALLY feeling the track. On top of that, the beat automatically makes me want to dance. Beat wise, this B. Cox track is the best track. Every time I hear it, I like it more. What It Feels Like: I like the melody on this song. Every single member was at a ten on this one, and I love when male singers go into that high register. This is my favorite track. It's a feel-good song; the type of song you could listen to at the lakefront (Chicago, for those that don't know), cruising down the street, with that special someone, or just hanging out around the house. Since You've Been Gone: The first time I heard this song was when Q was walking down the street looking fresh out of a soap opera with his emotions on his sleeve. As soon as I heard the track, I went "Who sings this? I want it!" Even better, the guys performed this song on the finale episode, and I loved it although Robert's James Brown routine was a little melodramatic. This is my second favorite track on the whole album. If It Wasn't For You: I had to listen to this song a few times before I could really get into it. This isn't on here for the beat; it's solely on here for lyrics. I respect this song because it's basically thanking whomever was a positive role model in someone's life, kept them off the streets, and out of trouble instead of glorifying folks with the crabs in a barrel mentality. It has a church-like feel that makes you want to clap your hands while you think about someone who helped you as you grew up. Don't Fight the Feeling: Why is there a speech necessary about ballads at the beginning of this track? Just let Day 26 sing the song please. This song was another one that didn't really stand out to me. It's not a bad song; it's just an okay song for me. Bonus Track (Song with Danity Kane): I did not buy Danity Kane's last album, but I loved "Show Stopper." I'm hoping their album is better than this song. It sounds like a Cherie Dennis rip-off to me, and Cherie could've sang it better during the ladies' part. I'm not feeling it. The guys sound like they're whining (not in the fun way of "Come In"), and it's a little irritating. I didn't like it in the opening of the show, and I'm not into it now. Bonus Track (Song with Danity Kane): I do NOT like this song, but talk about catchy. I sing it almost word for word every time it comes on. I usually never get into show opening songs, but this song started rubbing off on me when the two groups went against each other and performed it live. I always imagine Brian H. dancing (he was so underrated; too much attitude, but he was an EXCELLENT singer--I miss him although I like the selected members) during this song. I watched him through that entire performance. Overall: Diddy was right. I didn't expect to like this album as much as I do. I thought it was going to be a Jodeci/H-Town/Boyz II Men knock off, but they came with their own sound.

OK, so I'm not going to give a summary of every track because a few others have done an excellent job at that already (I agree 100% with Broky's review).
I decided to give these guys a chance after seeing the show and it turns out that my favorite songs weren't even highlighted on the show! The production of this album coupled with the overall quality of the group members' soulful voices is a breath of fresh air in this stale music industry where everyone sounds alike... I love the drum taps in Come With Me, Are We In this Together and I'm the Reason. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I suppose, but I don't see how some people on this board are "disappointed" with this album. This album DOES NOT disappoint! Overall, this album has a nice variety of slow jams and club bangers. I'm so happy that I downloaded the entire album to my ZUNE! Can't wait to workout to this during the week, clean the house on the weekends and play in the background on those intimate evenings...

An Almost Flawless Album!,

Diddy, Diddy, Diddy! This man is known to do some crazy things, and get what he wants, but let me tell you something. That man sure does know how to create a group, and what good music is. After Danity Kane, I didn't think he could make a group come up to parr with them, but he did, and they are awesome! Now time for a track for track review of the album.
1) I'm The Reason-What an excellent way to start off the album! The production is amazing, and the song is extremely catchy. It is definately one of my favorite songs on the album. Everyone's voice is just flows well and this song. I like it alot 10/10. 2) Got Me Going-This is the first single off of the album, and I think it was a great choice! Everyone sounds amazing on the song, and it's not overproduced like alot of tracks nowadays. It is just really simple and catchy. 10/10 3) In My Bed-In my is a great song! It isn't the best on the album, and took me some time to get used to, but it eventually grew on me. It isn't one of my favorite songs on the album, but it is a great one nevertheless. 8/10 4) Silly Love-This is my second favorite song on the album. This song would make an excellent single! It has wonderful vocals, it's just calm and collected and has amazing production. I think this song will win alot of people over. 10/10 5) Come With Me-This song is good as well, but I would say that Robert oversang his part a bit much. This song really didn't need to involve much in the "vocal" department, and it seem that he tried a bit too hard. But overall it's a pretty god song 9/10. 6) Co Star- When I first heard this song on the show, I fell in love with it! It was very well produced, and really catchy and smooth. It does a great job showing off everyones vocals! I could most definately appreciate this song! I like it alot! 10/10 7) Come In-Wow!!!! By far the third best song on the album! This track is slick. Its so melodic and catchy and this is a track where you could seriously keep on repeat and just relax to. Excellent song! 10/10 8) Are we in this together-This song has an excellent meaning and a good premises for a song. I can really see this being a fan favorite. The vocals and production are very good! And I could see this song definately being a single choice. 10/10 9) What It Feels Like-This is my favorite song on the album! This song is just wow!!! It's so melodic and sensual, and just an overall sexy song to tell you the truth. There is seriously no other way to describe this song. It is just amazing! Definately listen to this song when you guys get the album, I think you will have the same thoughts as me. 10/10 10) Since you been gone-This song is said to be there second single. While I do like the song, I do not agree with the choice that this should be a single. It doesn't really showcase nothing new for the boys and it really wouldn't make a major stand in the R&B Industry. I do like the song though, and if it is the second single, I hope it does well. 9/10 11) If It wasn't for you-Another catchy jam! The production on this song is one of the best one the album! Everyone did a phenominal job singing it! It seems like everyones voice is most definately on point! Excellent song. 10/10 12) Don't Fight The Feeling-Willie and Rob sound really good in this song! It's not the best on the album as far as catchiness is concerned, but the vocals are amazing! And the production is just okay. I am pretty sure the song will grow on me a bit more as time goes on. 8/10 13) Ain't Goin'-This song appeared on Danity Kanes album, and I will say the same abut this song as I said on Dk's review. The song is average at best. There is nothing special about this song at all. It's not bad by any means, but it really isn't an attention grabber. I am pretty sure I will like it over time, but overall it's just an okay song to me. 7/10 14) Exclusive-Everyone who watched making the band, knows what this song is. The song is really good! But it is getting extremely old. Everytime the guys would sing on the show, they would sing this song. I am a bit sick on the song, but I cannot base my rating on that. Since it is a good catchy song, and I love the vocals and production I think it deserves a fairly good rate. 9/10. 130/140=92% Which is an A Rating. Day26 Has an awesome debut album on there hands! I thinnk when people listen to this, they will realize that all of these guys have potential! This album is definately an amazing one and everyone should have it in their collection!

GOOD DEBUT,
This review is from: Day26 (Audio CD)
First of all let me start by saying that I'm very proud of Q because he is from my home town of Rochester NY...w/ that being said I very much like their debut cd. I followed MTB4 the whole season and got just what I expected. My favs on the cd is 'Got Me Going' 'Come in (My Door's Open)' and the hidden track 'Exclusive' The guys have worked really hard through ups and downs dramas ect...and their cd pays off all their work.
good job.

Well, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the freshman effort from Day 26. I am an avid fan of Diddy...I mean, I just like his swagger. So, I watched all but the first 2nd season of Making the Band. I love these guys. I have a hard time deciphering the voices except for Brian, Will and Robert. Mike and Que seem to blend to the point to where I have difficulty finding their solo parts. Anywho. I love ballads, this is the CD for those who are desperate for some good slow jams. My favorites are:
1. Just Should've told You - Hidden track 2. Co-Star - 8/10 3. Come in - 10/10 4. What it Feels like - 10/10 5. Since you geen gone - 10/10 - Probably my favorite!!! 6. If it wasn't for you - 10/10 - 2nd favorite! 7. Don't fight the feeling - 10/10 - gosh, it's tough...this is good too! Now...this must is R&B. It's not pop, it's not hip hop, it's R&B, so if you aren't an R&B fan, you probably won't be able to appreciate these songs like I do...and that is cool, we all are different for a reason. But, they have my vote. I think this is a super effort from a group of guys thrown together.

The album Day 26 by Day 26 is one of the better Bad Boy albums I have heard in a while. You really have to understand the album by following these five very fortunate men. I will admit, I watched this Making The Band 4 from the early auditions and really have been able to see these men grow substantially. I will gurantee that this album goes platinum. There is a place for each guy on each track and that makes them uniqe with their group. There is no real chinq in the chain. I hope people who decide not to buy this album think twice before making that decision because they may not be 112 or Jodeci, but these men have potential so why not invest in something special these men are going to be involved in.
I reccommend this album!

I followed the creation of this group on the MTB series and have to admit, was a little worried at the rushed time frame to make this album. I thought it'd be another horrible "hip pop" entry and that there'd be an overabundance of guest rappers on tracks.
Happily I was DEAD WRONG - Diddy stuck to his word and he & his producers have constructed a really good debut album that stayed true to modern day r&b with limited hip hop elements and that already has me anticipating their sophomore set! The producers did a great job of balancing uptempo and ballad tracks to allow listeners to truly hear & enjoy each guy's individual vocals as well as enjoying the harmonies laid by the group. The guys' harmonies on each track is terrific but the standout vocalist to me is Robert (with his little "divo" self!). While watching them record their tracks, I felt that Robert & Mike would stand out because they have distinctive vocals but I could barely distinguish Mike on any track and unfortunately: Que, Willie & Brian's vocals are virtually indistinguishable to me so perhaps on their sophomore set, these 3 will get more of a chance to show off their abilities. The standout tracks to me are: WHAT IT FEELS LIKE - Robert is my favorite singer in this group and his solo makes this track special to me IF IT WASN'T FOR U - I love the musical arrangement - the drums & horns make it a distinctive track I'M THE REASON - again, love the musical arrangement - the drum beat is crazy (in the best way), this should definitely be a released single GOT ME GOING - although they sounded a little rough performing live, this track's production is EXCELLENT - I liken it to a track relay team smoothly exchanging the baton as each vocalist exchanges the lead IN MY BED - great track that I can imagine being blasted from cars this summer EXCLUSIVE - hearing it so many times on the show made the song more accessible, I think it's a great track SINCE U BEEN GONE - excellent song construction but my only complaint is that Bri, Willie & Que sound so much alike that I couldn't tell who was singing, the harmonies again are beautiful and Rob's solo (again) makes the track hot to me There are only 2 tracks that I really don't like are: SILLY LOVE - I have tried to listen to this track a few times but honestly, I hate the lead vocalist (can't tell who it is) - his voice is like nails screeching down a chalkboard to me ARE WE IN THIS TOGETHER - the beats are TOO big & overpower the track Overall I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this disc and hope that Diddy & co make a smart choice for a second single to help spark interest in this group.

**IN A DAZE, BLOWN AWAY**,

I will start off by saying that I am a true R&B fan. And this is an R&B album. Those of you looking for hip-hop or guest appearances by rappers will be sorely dissappointed. I was so happy that this was not a hip-hop album. So many of my favorite artist have tried to go in that direction (without much success mind you), but I was so glad that Diddy didn't try to push these guys in that direction. There are no guest appearances by rappers (except for Diddy of course) and that was refreshing. I love hip-hop too, but do we always have to combine the two? Ladies, how many times have you heard a good slow jam that put you in the mood to get close to your man or had you day dreaming about the cutie that was singing to you, only to have Lil' Jon or Young Jeezy or someone else pop in unexpectedly and just ruin it. Save all that for the remix please!!! When I want a hip-hop album, I'll buy one. Stop trying to cram it down our throats all the time. Anyway, now that I've gotten that off my chest, let's talk about Day 26.
I always read reviews, but never write them. Well I felt compelled to this time. First of all they make great eye candy for the ladies and I'm sure that was a factor in picking the members (THANK YOU DIDDY!!!). That being said, I did not expect them to sound as great as they do. Each member can actually sing and sing well at that. Which is rare for a group. No filler positions here, only true talent. I have followed pretty much all of the seasons of "Making The Band", and Diddy got it right this time. While he definitly had plenty of talent to choose from this time around, I can't imagine anyone else replacing the members that were chosen to create Day 26. Each member can actually sing and sing well. Watching the show made you wonder whether they would pull it together and really become a solid group worth giving our hard earned money to and not just a bunch of kids who got lucky. You could tell that they could sing, but you will be suprised at just how well they can sing when you hear this album. Nothing but grown men here. They know how to talk to the ladies. I think they really listened to the advice and direction that Diddy was giving them. And Diddy definitly pushed each member to give his all and his best. The fellas finally found a way to connect with the songs and deliver them in a way that the listener could connect and feel each members passion for it. I can't believe they recorded it in just 3 weeks! Each member has a great voice, and each is allowed to shine. I love that no one was made to be the leader of the group, because actually they all would be deserving of it. **Robert's voice is probably the most recognized and distinct of the group. You definitly know it's him when you hear it. He has the ability to really connect with the song and it seems effortless. I love the way he sounds on "Don't Fight The Feeling" (Amazing!!), he gives me chills. **Q has that smooth as silk, very clear toned, and sexy all at the same time voice. At first listen to the album, it's hard to distinguish Q from Willie, but with each listen Q makes himself known. "Silly Love" is a great example of that. I remember watching the show and Q was in the booth while Brian Cox was asking him to just humm a few notes. Brian Cox was very impressed with each note Q gave and what was recorded in that scene was actually used on "What It Feels Like" when Robert is singing the bridge. That's Q in the background. He is great at ad-libbing. **Willie also has a very pure, angelic, and sexy voice. He is able to hit those high notes and his register still stays pure. His verse on "What It Feels Like" is too die for and will make the ladies melt. It doesn't get much sexier than that (And he's FINE too!!!). You'll find that Willie has a verse on the majority of the songs on this album. The producers all seemed to love his tone and it fits well in each song he is featured on. **Mike's voice has church written all over it. It is absolutly beautiful and rich. He connects well with the songs. I don't think he was used enough on this album though. I would have loved to hear more from him. Hopefully we will in the future. **Brian is the master at hitting the perfect note at just the right time. On the show, Diddy thought that Brian was yelling on the songs. I myself thought he sounded great, and I don't think anything was changed with his voice from the show to on the album. The producers must have convinced Diddy that Brian was right on point. And I'm so glad they did. He is a powerhouse. His voice can be tender when he needs it to be (2nd verse of "Since You've Been Gone" and oh so soul stirring when you need it to be ("I'm The Reason" & "In My Bed" ad-libs). It's hard for me to pick a favorite song from the album. They are all good. acouple stand outs to me are "Don't Fight The Feeling" & "What It Feels Like" (I love a good slow jam, but the up tempo's are great also). Just listening to the delivery on each song (especially "Come In" - the harminies are off the chain!!!) will make your least favorite track start to compete with your favorite at that time. And by least favorite I mean the one you only listen to 5 times in a row instead of 10 :) All in all, this is a magnificent debut album. The guys harmonize well and also shine as individuals at the same time. I can listen to this album straight through with the exception of the song featuring Danity Kane (no offense ladies). It was just a filler song. To the people who have given this album less than 4 stars, please listen again. You have to admit that these guys did an excellent job for the time they had to record an album, and also for being a group that was just recently put together. Give them the credit they are due. I'm sure they will be even better on their next project (although it's hard to imagine), everything improves with practice and time. And the more they sing together the tighter they will get. If it's this good on the debut album, I can't wait to see what's next. I sure hope they can stick together long enough to be as big as I feel they have the potential to be. Good luck fella's and thanks for keeping R&B alive ;)

This album turned out better than I thought it would. The production is good, but what makes the album are the harmonies and the chemistry that it seemed was missing on the MTB show. These guys sound great, reminding me of 112 from back in the Bad Boy days, and that's not a bad thing at all. Highly recommend this, at a time when good ol' R&B is lacking in today's musical scene.

I call it that because I think when I first did a run through of the album-- listening to the first minute or so of each-- I had a luke warm reaction to it... But as time went on there were quite a few tracks that grew on me and soon became my favorites. It's one of those albums that you need to just sit down in a relaxed moment with your IPOD and give it an honest chance...let it simmer to a boil on you.... Overall I think this is a good debut album; something to allow their audience to get their pallet wet and build anticipation for the growth of this group. The only real critique I have for this album is that sometimes it does sound like you are listening to 5 individuals rather than a cohesive group as was cited in this season of MTB4, but I'm sure that will improve as they continue to grow in the industry and going forward to the sophomore album, just as Danity Kane did. Either way I am extremely excited for these guys and very much looking forward to the bright future of DAY 26. My recommended TOP favs --> IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU / DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING / I SHOULD'VE TOLD YOU.
