I need lots of garment bags for the uniforms I need to manage. The ones I bought in the past off of Uline though were inexpensive, they didn't last the beating my sales people put them through. These ProMart bags not only have been durable enough to last a month, but they're also very attractive and smell great.

I can easily store 3 - 5 suits in this bag, and the cedar plank makes a big difference. Keeps the suits feeling/ smelling fresh!

I don't often wear suits... Maybe 4 - 5 times a year, but this bag, so far (about 6 months), has done a great job.

These garment bags are exactly what I was looking for - I needed them for my long formal gowns and long winter coats (I'm 5'10" so long is really important). Everything fit just right; depending on the volume of garment and style of hanger, one can fit 5-7 items per bag. The only difference between what I expected and what I received is the image shows an entirely clear front, whereas the actual item has a clear window on the top 12" or so.

Not as advertised in several significant areas.

1. It did NOT come with a cedar insert. It came with a slim 6 inch x 2 inch piece of unscented wood, possibly pine. This has absolutely no moth-repelling properties. It's no more effective than putting a rock in the bag.

2. It's advertised as being 5 inches deep. The bag I received measures exactly 4 inches deep.

Not worth the hassel of sending this back. Amazon should correct the description.

Overall I am very happy with this bag - it seems solidly constructed. The cedar block it comes with is thin, but about 6 inches long and it slides into the back of the bag. The front is a clear plastic, which is helpful so you can see what is in the bag.

The main con - which is why I am giving it 3 stars - is the nasty chemical smell from the canvas. I am assuming it is a treatment that aids in resisting mildew, but I do NOT want my clothes smelling like it. I am airing it out in the sunshine, and if that doesn't work I will try spraying it down with white vinegar/water/baking soda. I will update the review if the results are successful.

Other than the smell, the bag does the trick - and for a decent price.

**6/8/12 Update - my trick of letting it air out in the sun worked perfectly. No more smell! Therefore, I am adding a star.

I wear suits very infrequently + I am a big guy , I am a 48-50 long, I have just 3 suits and went ahead and had a local carpenter custom make me some cedar hangers which are 23" across, most hangers are 16' with suit ones rarely more than 19".

This hanging garment bag easily holds my 3 suits WITH the custom hangers and so far I have been happy, the piece of cedar is a nice touch and lets be honest for under $10 it is very reasonable.

I ordered two suit size and two dress size garment bags for the sole purpose of storing items in my closet. I do not intend to use them for travel at all. The bags are very spacious, hold many items of clothing and will be fine for me. But these bags are NOT made of canvas. They are made of a VERY THIN - almost like a thin thin felt fabric. Not durable at all. I think they are a little overpriced for what they are, but like I said, to protect hanging clothes in the closet from dust they will be fine.

The moment you pull it out of the plastic casing, you smell a STRONG vinyl smell. Not only I can not put my new coat in the garment bag to protect it, I can not even walk in to the room I hung it in attempt to disperse the smell because the odor is so pungent. The cedar is so small (1"x6" at the most) that it does not even do anything against the vinyl smell. I do not recommend buying this product.

This product was perfect! I needed a bag to transport my gown for my son's wedding -- car travel. The materials weren't quite as shown but this was fine with me. Mine came with the breathable fabric making up all of the bag with the exception of 1/4 of the front at the top, which was plastic. The product seems durable without excessive weight and is roomy enough for several gowns. Be aware, though, that I'm only 5'3" and my full-length gown nearly reached the bottom of the bag.

I just received two of these and they are as good as the other reviews describe. I will add that the only draw back I found is in the hanger opening at the top of the bag. The slit where the hangers come out of the bag is fairly large and can be a spot for moths to enter. If you want a completely sealed bag, you will have to tape or clip the opening shut. I also found that the bags could fit 3 suits comfortably, and I wouldn't want to go more than that, especially with large suit/jacket wood hangers. I find these are best for long term storage, or some travel, since it is a bit of a pain to remove just one suit with 3 suits in a bag. You have to remove all of them if you need the one in the back. I've also looked at similar but much bigger bags at The Container Store for ~$21. (*I recommend them for nice wood hangers). I went with these DAZZ bags because I don't have that many suits yet, and these come with cedar.

PS I have since bought the "Natural Cotton Garment Bags" at The Container Store and I'm also VERY happy with those as well, recommended for hanging closet storage.
