EJ45C, normal tension, is D'Addario's best selling "composite" set, preferred for its balance of bold, yet warm tone, comfortable feel and dynamic projection.
Pro-Arte composite strings feature an exclusive multifilament stranded core material which delivers a powerful, but warm tone which lasts 2-3 times longer than traditional classical strings. In addition to three traditional nylon treble strings, each set contains an optional monofilament composite 3rd/G string, which provides greater projection and optimal balance between basses and trebles. All Pro-Arte treble strings are sorted by a sophisticated computer-controlled laser machine which performs diameter/tension measurements and quality checks, ensuring true sounding, precise trebles in every set.
D'Addario, the world's largest manufacturer of musical instrument strings, is known as The Players Choice with a reputation for unsurpassed quality and consistency. D'Addario's innovative packaging reduces waste and provides protection from corrosion. All D'Addario strings are manufactured in the U.S.A. using proprietary, digitally controlled, state-of-the-art machinery for unmatched performance, set after set.

Luscious resonating sound. Takes less than a weak for the strings to settle in.Also, there are two G strings - one a new off-color composite that has in my opinion a better sound and the clear nylon that is traditionally supplied. The G string typically has the dullest and most lackluster sound in any nylon set. Thus the new composite G string improves on that as much as it can. Good value at a good price.

I usually use Augustine classical guitar strings because I prefer low sounds, I use Pro Arte for bright sounds. These strings hold their tune for a long time and are easy to handle. You can slide beautifully from one note or chord to another. Grip is good and bending a note is easy on my fingers. These strings sound so good, when you strum your first chord it will amaze you. They cost $11 at Sam Ash.If you never tried Pro Arte try this set first (Normal Tension EJ45C). The one with the yellow cover and red/black font.

I am using these strings for flamenco and find them to be bright and clear sounding. I did not care for the pro arte ej45's as they sounded good, but they didn't have the sparkle that these strings have. I also like the Galli (brand) Genius Titanio gr45 strings that you can find on other websites. The Galli's have more body and fullness to the sound, it's a matter of taste.
