This review is from: D'Addario EJ46 Pro-Arte Nylon Classical Guitar Strings, Hard Tension (Electronics)
I've been using D'Addario classical guitar strings regularly for a couple of decades, so I can't pretend now to be familiar with the competition. But I've stuck with them for the following reasons:* They're extremely reliable -- I can't remember the last time I had a dud string. * Their sound is excellent and they last a long time. * They settle in extremely quickly (this is a biggie for a professional musician). * They have eco-friendly packaging. I use the the J46s on my flamenco guitar, and on one of my classical guitars that has a low action (J45s on the other one). Every guitar and every guitarist is different, so try different tensions before you settle on one. D'Addario are used by a long list of top professionals that you can probably find by looking at their publicity; Paco Peña was the one that influenced me in the first instance. I remain very happy with the decision. P.S. If you'd like to see more extended discussions and comparisons, go to the foroflamenco website and type the name of the strings you're interested in into the search box. The forum contains a decade's-worth of discussions.

This review is from: D'Addario EJ46 Pro-Arte Nylon Classical Guitar Strings, Hard Tension (Electronics)
After having played around with EXP/composites/LPs, these regular strings feel to wear out just terribly quickly :( After 10 hours of playing I feel like I want to replace them already, tried 2 sets in a row. Probably to get a proper (pleasure/price)*time I need to switch back to more durable strings.
