5.0 out of 5 stars wow.
I have been playing bass for about a year and a half now. These strings are the best I have ever used. I've had Earnie Ball Slinky's, GHS Boomers, Elixr (all of which are pretty dang good), and a few I forgot the names of, but these kick their butts. They have an amazing punch and clarity. I use them with an Ibanez Sr-405 series bass and they work perfectly with the...

3.0 out of 5 stars possibly counterfeits
I've had these strings for a day and they sound fine as other reviewers have stated, but upon checking the serial number on D'Addario's website, the strings being sold direct from Amazon are showing up as counterfeits. I would not buy these from Amazon at the moment, and will provide an update when I know for sure if these are fakes.

I use them with an Ibanez Sr-405 series bass and they work perfectly with the active electronics. I mostly play experimental metal in the chicago area, and also some old school thrash. Just overall love these strings. Be careful, they can grind up your picks pretty fast haha.

I bought these for my Fender American Deluxe P bass and wow! It's been a while since I rocked a 135 on the 5th string, and I have to tell you it sounds fantastic. I mainly for this because I was looking for a 105 for the 4th string and this goes perfect on there.

The thing i like about Daddario strings is they last long and they have a nice smooth sound. I have yet to get a bad set, been playing these for years.

Always replaced my strings on my 5-string Reggie Hamilton Custom Shop w/ the original Fender Strings - I decided it was time for a change & after reading some reviews, I settled on these & I'll be back. The strings feel very quick, they're bright - but not overly so - not metallic, etc.. I enjoy the feel & the sound & after three gigs w/ them - they're still sounding great. Very happy.

As you can imagine, I couldn't wait to receive these little beauties. I've tried several types of strings before but these are like ice-cream after you break a diet... they make you remember in the first place why you got them.
Excellent sound, a feeling beyond what I was expecting and to my experience, durability as if they were made of Uranium.
