A Good Set of Strings,

I replaced the stock strings on my Oscar Schmidt OU-6 ukulele with these. I was very pleased with the sound. I have since ordered two more sets through Amazon as tenor uke strings are not easy to find in local retail stores in the Seattle area.Three of the strings are black nylon but the C string is wound metal like a classical guitar string. That may throw some off. It makes tuning a bit quirky as the string will likely be flat and then suddenly go sharp requiring backing off and retuning. Not an issue for me but something to keep in mind.

The set of strings I received broke before I could get them into a standard tuning, except for the "C" string. Even if they didn't snap in half, they are too narrow to be played comfortably. It's a shame too, D'Addario's other Uke strings have been great over the years.
