Don't waste your time and money...

Bought these strings cause I bought my oud with a missing set of high F strings. First off, these strings are set for an F# - B - E - A - D - G tuning, which I've never even heard of. I tuned the high string up to F, a whole step lower than what it says it tunes to, and the damn string broke. What a bummer. I should have just hucked out the extra bucks for a set of Pyramid strings. I put some Pyramids on my Sitar... AMAZING. Pyramid makes incredible, professional quality strings. You WILL notice the difference, guaranteed. I'll be buying some to replace this crap. Don't get me wrong, D'Adarrio makes great guitar strings... I've got some fretless bass strings made by them and I love em. They should just stick to what they're good at, because they obviously don't even realize that MOST oud players want a classic Arabic or Turkish tuning, not this "what the hell is this?" tuning. On top of all of that, what SHOULD be my low F string was stripped on the end... luckily not in the middle of the string or it would have been unplayable. On the plus side, the strings that didn't snap sound great, but there were just too many flaws with this set for me to give them a good review. Don't waste your time. Spend the extra cash on a nice set of Pyramids. They will at least tell you if you're getting an Arabic or Turkish tuning. Hope this helps.
