Product Description

The D'Addario Fingerboard Appliqué was developed by noted music educator Peter Stoney to help make the instrument easier to learn, play, and enjoy. Its design promotes proper finger placement using a tactile approach, allowing the player to feel the contact point for the note. The Appliqué is also an ideal tool to easily add subtle frets to the violin, making it easier for players of fretted instruments to cross over to violin, and also expanding the instrument's flexibility of use with modern performance styles. The Fingerboard Appliqué is available in two styles: an "Optic" version with the lines colored gold to provide an additional visual cue, and a "Tactile" version that is solid black and nearly invisible on the fingerboard. The Appliqué installs in just a few minutes and is easily removed when no longer needed. Available in three scale lengths: 328mm for 4/4 violin, 304mm for A ¾ violin and 286mm for A ½ violin.

This is an okay rosin. Take it from me-a violin player of 6 years. It sticks to the bow nicely, and does not produce much dust that could mark the violin. However, this rosin melts EXTREMELY easily, and is rather brittle. All in all, a fairly good rosin.

I was disappointed with this rosin. It creates the grip, but produces a very noisy sound with my violin. Not worth purchasing. After trying this for the first time, I immediately went back to using Hill Light Rosin. Paying a few bucks extra for the Hill or other similar professional rosin is worth it.
