I bought this for use with a Canon Rebel XSi and it does work. The package states it's 1400mAh but can not be because the original battery that come with the Rebel is 1080mAh and it last longer.

I left this battery charging for 3 days and the red light on the charger never turned green. It still works on the camera, but it's nothing compared to the original battery.

This battery lasts twice as long as the Canon battery. It was meant as back up but spends more time in the camera as it take much longer to drain than the Canon battery does.

We purchased this battery as a backup to the Canon battery for my older camera. The life is a little less than that of Canon one, but you can buy 4 and still save money.

It seems that people are getting different results with these batteries. The one I received has a different mAh rating than what other reviewers have reported. Mine does not work with my Canon Xsi. And since the battery that came with the camera held its charge so long I didn't find out that the Maximal Power battery wouldn't work until it was too late to return it.

I would give it 5 stars but every now and then when I move the camera the LED display will go off and on...overall definitely a great replacement - battery life is outstanding!

I've been using this battery for about six months now without any problem. It serves as a useful replacement battery for my Canon Rebel and provides about two hours of shooting ability. Not quite as strong as the Canon Brand battery but a good buy for the price.

We purchased this battery in May 2010. I used the battery as a backup, and would used it when I drained the original battery that came with the XSi. The battery could be inserted to the camera without any problem. It worked great until last month. I noticed that the battery would not charge to its full capacity, even though the charger indicated that the battery was fully charged. When I popped the battery into the camera, it only shows it has 2/3 of its charge. This 2/3 charge doesn't hold at all. Within one day, it went down to 1/3 charge, and I barely used the camera. I guess 9 bucks over the 6 months period is reasonable. But had I known this, I would prefer buying the Canon battery if it last a whole lot longer.

I was looking for a reasonably-priced spare battery for my daughter's new camera, and this product filled the bill perfectly. Holds its charge for a long time.

Picked this up as a back-up battery for my Cannon. Have used it many times and its amazing....long battery life and cheaper than a "Cannon" battery. Defiantly a must have for any photographer.
