I've had it in there for a year with 0 gauge wire to my two amplifiers in my trunk. Has not given me any problems in the year that I have used it. It is big in size, and clamping down the wire was kind of tough (I added electrical tape for extra security), but I have never had to inspect it or fix it since installing it last year.

excellent construction very well made protects exposed wires perfectly just a little large is all almost 3 times the size of a standard 4 awg inline fuse would definately recommend for others to buy fits my 0 awg power wire perfectly. if you need a larger inline fuse bigger than 4 awg look no further.

This fuse holder is great, except for one detail. The set screws diameter is too little for the size of the contact tubes. This is fine for solid cable, but creates a problem with stranded cables, where it tends to push strands to the sides, away from the compression zone.
Also, depending on the cable used, the enclosed set screws may be too short. The enclosed screws are 7/16"-long. For smaller cables you may require set screws up to 3/4"-long. The set screw thread size is 3/8"-24 (fine).

I used this to put a Monster fuse in-line for my car's sound system. I thought it would be difficult to find a fuse holder for 1/0 wire, but this worked like a dream. I loved how easily it mounted to my car and how well it kept the wire in place.

Bought one of these for an inverter. Great build quality. Haven't installed yet because I was hoping to put it inline with out mounting it to the car. But it's way too heavy to be left dangling on 6 gauge wire. Giving it 4 stars though, because it is well made, just doesn't work well for my install, since I was hoping to put it inline 3" from the battery terminal. Back to the drawing board.
