Review
For database administrators, developers, and more technical managers, this book is the definitive look under the hood into the mechanism that drives the operational engines of DB2. Those responsible for squeezing performance out of DB2 should get access to it. Study it, and reap the benefits. Lou Agosta, Consultant, Chicago, ACM Computing Reviews, Sept.1998. --
Lou Agosta, Consultant, Chicago, ACM Computing Reviews, Sept.1998.Ive believed for some time that Gabrielle Wiorkowski knows as much as, or more than, anyone outside of IBMs DB2 development team about DB2's use of indexes, optimization, and other aspects of performance. This book is based on what she has learned, her direct experiences, and the experiences of other DB2 professionals with whom she comes in contact. ... It is you, the administrator, database designer, or application developer who applies its capabilities wisely or unwisely. This book provides practical information of use to you today in your job environment. Marilyn Bohl, Vice President, Work Process Systems, San Jose, CA. --
Marilyn Bohl, Vice President, Work Process Systems, San Jose, CA.The book explains many things about DB2 use and workings in an easy to understand fashion. It is designed both for the beginner and intermediate to advanced DB2 person because most of us cannot be advanced in all DB2 topics. I never found any other book for DB2 OS/390 as useful as this one. Michael Hannan, Consultant, Melbourne, Australia. --
