I am also using this in a home stereo system. The quality is better than you'd expect for the price, and the card indicates a three year warranty. In order to connect to standard hi-fi RCA jacks (input and output) you'll need four TRS to RCA connectors--about four to five dollars each. Not many consumer equalizers are now available, and this beats a second hand unit hands down.

Using it with my stereo system. I have Orb speakers which I bought for their small size and big sound. I like the sound of full range speakers & sub with the only crossover in the sub. However this type of system is a little thin in the high frequencies and a little too big in the low mids. An EQ lets me tailor the sound and bring out the missing frequencies. I find this EQ to be all but transparent in shaping the sound to suit me. DBX is high quality gear.

This is an excellent equalizer, no noise, no hum!!!!

It Sounds very clear.

The unit works, but my channel one 250hz fader sticks towards the top. The whole reason I got the dbx was for quality. I don't feel like I got that 100%.

For this reason I would suggest just getting a cheaper Nady or Behringer. What's the point in paying the high price if it's made in china too and is lacking on build quality?

Sound wise, it's transparent just like the other ones will be.

For the money, has alot of features that you need, too bad everything is made in China these days..............

Simply excellent. The sound is crystal clear. Best value for the money spent. No need to look around to get something better. My DVDs and Blue Rays started to sound by far better than before. Love it. Buy it and you won't regret. Send me a check for good review too.

It does just what I needed at the right price, thanks 26th Street Music Center and Amazon too. Great build quality, excellent specs and features and very compact, which is something I needed. dbx makes basically the same eq with a larger face plate and controls, about twice as large, which takes up more space, but is also a little easier to use, much like a big button phone is. So, I'm completely happy with dbx products.

We have bought this equalizer from ACE-SOUND and the equalizer is a piece of gold. It is very high quality built and professional.

We have 4 Bose 901 speakers, after this equalizer they perform incredibly well. Our house became like a club. You can hear all

kinds of sounds with that equalizer and there is no distortion at all even the volume is all the way up, 4x400 watts.

ACE-SOUND is an awesome seller. Highly recommended to work with. There was a small problem but they arranged it awesomely everything well.

Added this Eq to Musical Fidelity A5.5 integrated amp through tape monitor, unbelievable ! Have Musical fidelity A5.5 cd, Oppo BDP-83, and Sirius Radio, and

B&W 804's for speakers.

Found the Sirius very clear but thin, same for the Oppo. Since adding the DBX EQ

to my system it sounds like you took a blanket off the speakers. Frequency range was greatly expanded and all are frequencies crystal clear, no noise at all.

Definitly a keeper, especially for those old Grateful Dead recordings ! So much for purism and no tone controls.
