I purchased 3 of these benches from amazon at $38 with free super saver shipping. It took almost 6 weeks to receive them. Amazon did offer to cancel the order because of the long wait. I decided to wait because it was such a good deal.

2 out of the 3 shipping boxes had heavy wear and tear, taped holes, etc... Anyways, I assembled the first 2 with out a glitch, then the third box had a bracket missing, and a tab missing and broken off where the seat slats attach to the iron sides. My husband managed to weld and fix up the last bench ( we burnt the shipping box before we realized the issues.

Overall, I think the product is prettier than others offered in the same price at Big Lots etc. All of the benches in this price range are somewhat flimsy, so I expected that.

The whole problem is related to the cardboard boxes not being heavy enough to keep the cast iron sides from slinging around in there making holes in the shipping box and causing pieces to fall out the subsequent holes during shipping.

The benches are a good if you are patient enough to wait for them, and are prepared to send them back if you get one with missing parts

1st let me say, there is no way this bench is worth the MSRP... It is probably worth the $38, if not less. The boards on the bech were not nice pieces of wood. They were marked up and scratched.

I will probably wind up staining the bench and waterproofing it... This bench dosn't have the heavy feel of most; it is very light... I hope it lasts; only time will tell...

For those that don't realize it, the back is made of plastic (not cast iron - just keep that in mind)..

I bought this product at a great price and looks great. Fast shipping too.

The bench looks beautiful from a distance.We can use it as decorative piece in front of the house and not for sitting.It is not strong enough to hold a medium weight person.The flower design is made of plastic.In the picture flower looks like it's made up of iron/steel..It swings to side if we move little also.The wood is not well finished(polished).The packaging was loosely done inside and looked liked a returned product.I would not recommend this to anyone.

Bench needed to be assembled. With only one crossbar on the seat, it is NOT sturdy and I removed it from my front porch and placed it in the back where no one will sit on it. It is pretty to look at but I do not recommend it for sitting.

This bench looks nice and works good, just don't sit near the edge as only the wood boards that are closer to the end have proper support...

This was my wife's choice but I got to assemble it. It was easy to put together and there were extra screws and washers included which I appreciated. It looks great in our backyard and it is comfortable to sit in. My wife is satisfied so all's right with the world. I prefer to have the cast iron components to be made of cast aluminum because I've experienced rusting of cast iron in spite of claims of resistant coatings in the past, perhaps it may take longer in this case but rust is an unavoidable outcome as time goes by. That is why I gave it only 4 stars. Cast aluminum is always more expensive and I most likely have paid the up charge but it wasn't available.

I bought this for our office, and it is a nice bench, a little worn, and scuffed here and there, but overall, for $49.00, it is a great deal.

It assembles quickly, but, you will need a drill to drive the screws for the support braces and bar for the seat, as the wood slats are not pre-drilled.

It looks great in our office, and we have received a lot of compliments.

The adage "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. Resin (i.e., plastic backing), very thin legs/arm rests, and poorly/blotchy stained slats--that's what you get with this cheapish bench.

I was pleasantly surprised at how attractive my new park bench looked when it was finally assembled and positioned in my front yard. And it is comfortable as well as attractive. To sum up, it was a good choice and a great value!
