Sculpt is great but the joints in my figure, specifically the elbows, are stiff while the ankles are loose.

Articulation The articulation on this figure is some of the best I've seen from DC collectibles.

So, if you've been collecting DCC figures for the last couple years you know that DCUC by Mattel is dead and DCC is all we got.
You also know that the figures they've been releasing as of late have had all kinds of QC issues.
I've covered a quite a few of them in my reviews on Youtube. I've even had some of the issues pop up DURING my reviews.
With all that...I was set to swear off DCC all together.
Then I decided to go to the Comic book store to escape after work. I saw this figure and was like ; "Aww hell...Let's see if this is as good as it looks."
I picked him up and I have to say, I was impressed!
I didn't have any QC issues at all.
It's about freakin time! LOL!

Sculpt
100% faithful recreation of Greg Capullo's work on New 52 Batman.
Bottom line...If you dig his work, you'll dig this figure.

Paint
Very clean and precise. No slop on my particular figure, though I've seen some reviews with some jacked up, sloppy Batmen.
Just be sure to look your figure over before purchase if you have that option.

Articulation
Very nice moderate articulation. Joints are stiff and YES they are STILL USING THE DAMN CLEAR BRITTLE PLASTIC PEGS IN THE JOINTS. So beware. Mine seem pretty solid so far.
He has one hand molded to hold the 3 batarangs he comes with. 3 EXTREMELY TINY BATARANGS.

Accessories
This is the main point of contention for me. Bats' comes with 3 EXTREMELY TINY BATARANGS. EXTREMELY TINY.
I lost one immediately upon opening the package. They are well sculpted for such EXTREMELY TINY accessories.
Be very careful with them. Not for little kids AT ALL! Just Big kids. It would've been smarter of DCC to just include an alternate hand with the batarangs sculpted in his grasp.

This figure is FLAWLESS! I just picked one up yesterday at a comic shop and I really have to say DC has brought us an amazing line with these Designer Series figures. The figure is based off Greg Capullo's New 52 design and the paint apps as well as sculpt is spot on. Barely had any paint imperfections, and the joints were as smooth as can be. He stand the same height as the Arkham Origins Batman or the older New 52 Batman that has way less articulation. Has incredible articulation, basically the exact same as Arkham Origins Batman (ball joint head, full shoulder rotation up-down-side to side, bicep swivel, single elbow joint, forearm cut and ball joint fists, ab crunch, waist swivel, upper legs can be pulled side-to-side not too much though, thigh cut, double joint knee, and feet DO NOT have rockers but can still twist 360 side-to-side and up and down). Not sure why they didn't give him ankler rockers just like Arkham Origins Bats. He comes with 3 tiny batarangs that are meant to fit in his left fist in this awesome pose(they basically stick out like he's about to throw them). The cape is a really nice rubber. If you want to find out more there is an awesome review on youtube. So again this is a MUST HAVE for any adult collector, I'm sure he can probably take a nice beating for a child too however his upper legs are connected to his hips via these clear plastic pegs which have always been regarded as week plastic.

since Mattel/DC has completely gone the way of suck over the past 3 years I cant even tell you how amazing it felt opening up a BRAND NEW super articulated Batman! like what a relief! new sculpt, great detail, perfect lookin Batman...sure I wish he had the cool new rocker ankles but the calve swivel combined with the ankles he has actually allows you to get both feet balanced on a surface when in crouched poses so I'm happy bout dat!

I really dig the way to cape is sculpted, it really does look like a gust of wind is gently lifting the cape up behind him every time I look over at the figure.

DCC you are my new best friend, PLEASE keep up the super articulation and PLEASE include rocker ankles next time!

Through out this review I will be going through my ASAP review Accessories, Sculpt, Articulation, and Paint.

Accessories
Batman comes with 3 batarangs that are very small. They are shiny and can fit in the knuckles of his left hand. They fit very well and look good. That is how Capullo usually draws Batman. The accessories are nice but for a $24.99 (retail price) I'd say it should have more accessories.

Sculpt
Batmans sculpt is also very cool. It is faithful to Greg Capullos style. You can see how bulky the figure is. The figure also has lines throughout the costume. The best part about the Batman though is his cape. The cape is very nice and flows just like Capullos style. I'd say the sculpt is very nice.

Articulation
The articulation on this figure is some of the best I've seen from DC collectibles. It has a ball joint at the head. So it looks very good down, up, and side to side. He has ball jointed shoulders and hinges. A swivel at the biceps and single jointed elbows. A swivel at the glove rotation at the hand and a hinge. He has an ab crunch that is difficult to move due to QC issues, but it goes far pretty well. Swivel at the waist and a swivel on the upper leg. Double jointed knees a swivel on the boot a hing on the foot and a swivel. No ankle pivot though which is a bummer. But I'd still say it is very good articulation.

Paint
The paint job on this figure is also pretty good. There is some scuffs on the abs but the rest is really clean. Though there isn't really any shading on the grey and black. The gloves, boots, and bat symbol are shiny like the batarangs. There is some nice shading on the belt though.

Overall I would say this is a great figure with a great design based on Greg Capullos great artwork. The wonky downside is Quality Control Issues. If you like Greg Capullos artwork or just want a new 52 batman, this is the figure you should get.
