What a hilarious way for MM to commemorate its 60th anniversary than by combining the iconic image of Alfred E. Nueman with DC characters to produce this great line of "Just-Us League of Stupid Heroes". Mad Magazine probably doesn't have the same impact on today's teens as it did with my group back in the 1970's when it provided some seriously mischievous, parent-aggravating, high-octane satire & irreverence.

This Product's Listing image doesn't do this figure "justice" (sorry). The belt & bustiere are made up of yellow "Crime Scene - Do Not Cross" tape. The bullet-deflecting wrist gauntlets are two empty tin cans of "Alfred-oos Original Recipe" tomato sauce. Measuring in at barely 6.0" tall I was mildly surprised to see that they designed "her" to be a bit shorter than the others.

There is good articulation with ball-jointed shoulders, hinged elbows & knees, while the neck, wrists and hips swivel. The thick black hair (with crooked tiara) is actually a wig that doesn't fully cover Alfred's own natural reddish-brown hair. The range of motion in the neck is affected by this head of hair. No Chuck Taylor's this time...just a pair of red & white unbuckled galoshes.

The lasso is permanently attached and there do not supply addition hands as with some of the other. It does come with a basic black 2.5" figure stand that is pegged for the right foot. If you go to place your figure on the stand and the pegs pops out the stand is not broken. Pushing the peg through it's hole and into the foot will solve this.

(Series One - Superman, Aquaman & Green Arrow....Series Two - Wonder Woman, Green Lantern & the Flash....Series Three - Batman, Robin & the Joker. There was also an Exclusive two-pack of Batman & Robin, with "Bats" sporting a more retro look.)

I love this figure. I grew up with magazines like MAD and Cracked and being a collector of Wonder Woman figures and toys I had to have this. The detail is great as are the added effects that make Alfred appear as Wonder Woman. A great figure for the collector.
