This review is from: Supergirl 1:6 Scale Collectors Figure (Toy)
This is pretty much the costume that Helen Slater wore on the Supergirl movie, back in the 80's. The overall design and craftsmanship of the product was...almost perfect. The "S" (a.k.a. House of El) symbol on the doll that was sent to me was slightly crooked, a noticeable flaw in an otherwise flawless product. The symbol itself seems to be just a fancy sticker, but I'm afraid that any attempt to remove the sticker and reposition it would ultimately make things worse. It is such a shame that so much care went in to designing, producing, and assembling the doll, only to have a careless individual mess up the efforts of so many others. On a separate note, this is NOT a toy. I would put this under the category of "adult collectible" item. But, it is not something that a child can play with on a regular basis. First, the head don't move. There are quite a few points of articulation, but they are not so articulating as to provide too much variations in her poses, other than standing with arms to the side, or arms raised. A note for the girls - the costume is not interchangeable. Assuming that you actually can find some other clothing for it. Both the red boots, and the blue leotard top has zippers in the back. The boots looks like they can be removed, but the leotard does not look like it can be taken off without ripping the molded plastic "hair" off the doll's head. As I'm sure no one will want to do to this iconic symbol of a lovely comic book character.
