First of all, please disregard the other reviewer's complaint that the figures are too "fat". If anything that is what makes these figures succeed. They are not "fat". I would say that they are more "cartoony" since they are modeled after the "New Frontier" graphic novel, which follows the style of retro 50s cartoon art. If you want the more traditional "muscular" superhero style, then there are plenty of other superhero figure lines out there. If you want something fresh and appreciate the source from which the figures were inspired from, then I highly recommend these figures. I can't say enough good things about this set. The sculpt and bold colors make this an absolute winner.

If you read the comics and loved them this is the toy for you. It's a classic/ golden age retelling. They did a great job matching/ translating style from comic book to toy to movie. If you haven't read the comic do yourself a favor and at least check it out from the library. If you like it watch the movie. If you love it buy the toy.... well that explains my process of buying the NF toys. Sometimes I think marketing campaigns cross initiatives, it seems like they stayed true all across the board in this case. I wish they would make t-shirts.

I bought this as a gift for my grandson's birthday. One of the character's leg broke off immediately. Not to mention my daughter saw the same toy for 20$ cheaper locally. Bad value!

These figures look amazing. If you don't like the way they look, or think they're "too fat" then you're obviously not a fan of the Silver Age of Superheroes. They aren't very durable and are quite fragile, but that's mainly because these aren't meant to be played with, they're meant to be displayed. Don't think of them as action figures, think of them as pose able statues. My only disappointment and complaint is that the Green Lantern doesn't come with his lantern and Batman's head is a little loose other than that, they're perfect. Great for adults to collect, not for kids to play with. I gave them a five star fun rating, simply because they are just fun to display and look at.

I bought these for my 5 year old's birthday. He is not a "rough and tumble" kid but like any kid likes to move and manipulate toys to see what they can do. He broke the head off of batman and broke his knee relatively quickly. The others are in decent shape but since he was always "batman" and I was the others that makes sense. And to give you a sense of how he was playing with them in general - he set up a flu shot clinic for them and we also pretended to play super hero soccer. So it wasn't bang-pop-wow! It was really just him trying to turn batman's head and pose him in different ways.

They might work better for older kids.

I will add that they are more substantial than the superhero figures I've seen at ToysRUs and other similar stores.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD WHO LOVES SUPERMAN. THE CHARACTERS LOOK FAKE. THEY'RE FAT INSTEAD OF MUSCULAR. I RETURNED THIS PACK AND BOUGHT THIS SAME SET AT A STORE AND THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO LOOK STRONG AND MUSCULAR.
